Regarding sending prayers upon those other than the Prophets ﵈
فِي الصَّلَاةِ عَلَى غَيْرِ الْأَنْبِيَاءِ ﵈
Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 8716
Hazrat Ibn Abbas states that, according to my knowledge, it is not permissible to send Durood (blessings) upon anyone other than the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).
حضرت ابن عباس فرماتے ہیں کہ میرے علم کے مطابق نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے علاوہ کسی پر درود پڑھنا جائز نہیں۔
Hazrat Ibn Abbas farmate hain keh mere ilm ke mutabiq Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ke ilawa kisi par durood parhna jaiz nahi.
Hazrat Jabir narrates that once I went to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to seek help regarding a debt of my father. He said, "You go, I will myself come to your house." I came home and said to my wife, "Don't talk to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and don't bother him." When he (peace and blessings be upon him) arrived, she said, "O Messenger of Allah! Pray for mercy for me and my husband." He said, "May Allah shower His mercy upon you and your husband." The woman said, "O Messenger of Allah! You came to our house, why didn't you call us?"
حضرت جابر فرماتے ہیں کہ ایک مرتبہ میں اپنے والد کے ایک قرضے کے سلسلے میں مدد حاصل کرنے نبی پاک (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوا تو آپ نے فرمایا کہ تم چلے جاؤ، میں خود تمہارے گھر آتا ہوں۔ میں نے گھر آکر اپنی بیوی سے کہا کہ تم رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) سے کوئی بات نہ کرنا اور آپ کو تکلیف نہ دینا۔ جب آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) تشریف لائے تو اس نے کہا کہ اے اللہ کے رسول ! میرے لیے اور میرے خاوند کے لیے رحمت کی دعا کردیجئے۔ آپ نے فرمایا کہ اللہ تجھ پر اور تیرے خاوند پر رحمت نازل فرمائے۔ اس عورت نے کہا کہ اے اللہ کے رسول ! آپ ہمارے پاس تشریف لائے آپ نے ہمیں کیوں نہیں بلالیا۔
Hazrat Jabir farmate hain ke aik martaba mein apne wald ke aik qarze ke silsile mein madad hasil karne Nabi Pak (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ki khidmat mein hazir hua to aap ne farmaya ke tum chale jao, mein khud tumhare ghar aata hun. Mein ne ghar aakar apni biwi se kaha ke tum Rasul Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) se koi baat na karna aur aap ko takleef na dena. Jab aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) tashreef laaye to us ne kaha ke aye Allah ke Rasul! mere liye aur mere khaawind ke liye rehmat ki dua kijiye. Aap ne farmaya ke Allah tum par aur tumhare khaawind par rehmat nazil farmaye. Iss aurat ne kaha ke aye Allah ke Rasul! Aap humare paas tashreef laaye aap ne hamein kyun nahi bulaya.
Hazrat Ibn Abi Aufa (R.A) narrates that once I came to the Holy Prophet (PBUH) with the Zakat of my father, then you said, O Allah! Shower your mercy on the family of Abu Aufa.
حضرت ابن ابی اوفیٰ فرماتے ہیں کہ ایک مرتبہ میں نبی پاک (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے پاس اپنے والد کی زکوۃ لے کر حاضر ہوا تو آپ نے فرمایا کہ اے اللہ ! ابو اوفیٰ کی آل پر رحمت نازل فرما۔
Hazrat Ibn Abi Aufa farmate hain keh aik martaba main Nabi Pak (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ke paas apne walid ki zakat lekar hazir hua to aap ne farmaya keh aye Allah! Abu Aufa ki aal par rehmat nazil farma.
