Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 9023
It is narrated on the authority of Ibn Umar that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Observe fast on seeing the crescent moon and celebrate Eid on seeing the crescent moon, and if the moon is obscured from you, then complete the count.
حضرت ابن عمر سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ارشاد فرمایا کہ چاند دیکھ کر روزہ رکھو اور چاند دیکھ کر عید مناؤ، اگر چاند نظر نہ آئے تو مقدار پوری کرلو۔
Hazrat Ibn Umar se riwayat hai keh Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne irshad farmaya keh chand dekh kar roza rakho aur chand dekh kar Eid manao, agar chand nazar na aaye to miqdar poori karlo.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ ذَكَرَ رَمَضَانَ ، فَقَالَ : « صُومُوا لِرُؤْيَتِهِ ، وَأَفْطِرُوا لِرُؤْيَتِهِ ، فَإِنْ غُمَّ عَلَيْكُمْ فَاقْدُرُوا لَهُ »
