Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 9027
Hazrat Abu Bakhtari narrated that we set out for Umrah. When we reached a place called Batn Nakhlah, we saw the moon. Some people said it was the moon of the third night, while others said it was the moon of the second. Upon this, we met Hazrat Ibn Abbas and told him that we had seen the moon, and that some people were saying it was the moon of the third night while others were saying it was the moon of the second. He asked, "When did you see this moon?" We replied, "On such and such night." Hazrat Ibn Abbas said, "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said that Allah has prolonged the sighting of the moon. The night of the moon is the night on which you see it."
حضرت ابو بختری فرماتے ہیں کہ ہم عمرہ کے لیے روانہ ہوئے، جب ہم مقام بطن نخلہ پہنچے تو ہم نے کہا کہ ہمیں چاند نظر آگیا ہے، کچھ لوگوں نے کہا کہ یہ تیسری رات کا چاند ہے، کچھ نے کہا کہ یہ دوسری رات کا چاند ہے۔ اس پر ہم حضرت ابن عباس سے ملے اور ہم نے کہا کہ ہم نے چاند دیکھا ہے، کچھ لوگ کہتے ہیں کہ یہ تیسری رات کا چاند ہے اور کچھ نے کہا کہ یہ دوسری رات کا چاند ہے۔ انھوں نے کہا کہ تم نے یہ چاند کب دیکھا ؟ ہم نے کہا کہ فلاں رات میں۔ حضرت ابن عباس نے فرمایا کہ اللہ کے رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کا ارشاد ہے کہ اللہ تعالیٰ نے چاند کی رویت کو لمبا کیا ہے، چاند کی رات وہ ہوگی جس رات تم اسے دیکھو۔
Hazrat Abu Bakhtari farmate hain ke hum Umrah ke liye rawana huay, jab hum maqam Batn Nakhl pahunche to hum ne kaha ke humein chand nazar aagya hai, kuch logon ne kaha ke yeh teesri raat ka chand hai, kuch ne kaha ke yeh doosri raat ka chand hai. Iss par hum Hazrat Ibn Abbas se milay aur hum ne kaha ke hum ne chand dekha hai, kuch log kehte hain ke yeh teesri raat ka chand hai aur kuch ne kaha ke yeh doosri raat ka chand hai. Unhon ne kaha ke tum ne yeh chand kab dekha? Hum ne kaha ke falan raat mein. Hazrat Ibn Abbas ne farmaya ke Allah ke Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ka irshad hai ke Allah Ta'ala ne chand ki royat ko lamba kiya hai, chand ki raat woh hogi jis raat tum usay dekho.
حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ فُضَيْلٍ ، عَنْ حُصَيْنٍ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْبَخْتَرِيِّ ، قَالَ : خَرَجْنَا لِلْعُمْرَةِ فَلَمَّا نَزَلْنَا بِبَطْنِ نَخْلَةَ ، قَالَ : تَرَاءَيْنَا الْهِلَالَ ، قَالَ : بَعْضُ الْقَوْمِ هُوَ ابْنُ ثَلَاثٍ ، وَقَالَ : بَعْضُ الْقَوْمِ هُوَ ابْنُ لَيْلَتَيْنِ ، فَلَقِينَا ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ ، فَقُلْنَا : إِنَّا رَأَيْنَا الْهِلَالَ ، فَقَالَ بَعْضُ الْقَوْمِ : هُوَ ابْنُ ثَلَاثٍ ، وَقَالَ بَعْضُ الْقَوْمِ : هُوَ ابْنُ لَيْلَتَيْنِ ، فَقَالَ : أَيُّ لَيْلَةٍ رَأَيْتُمُوهُ ؟ قَالَ : فَقُلْنَا : لَيْلَةَ كَذَا وَكَذَا ، قَالَ : إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ ، قَالَ : « إِنَّ اللَّهَ مَدَّهُ لِلرُّؤْيَةِ ، فَهُوَ لِلَيْلَةٍ رَأَيْتُمُوهُ »
