Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 9467
Hazrat Ibn Abbas narrates that once a villager came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and said that he had seen the crescent moon of the previous night. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked him, "Do you testify that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the slave of Allah and His Messenger?" He said, "Yes." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "O Bilal, announce to the people that they should fast tomorrow."
حضرت ابن عباس فرماتے ہیں کہ ایک مرتبہ ایک دیہاتی حضور (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے پاس آیا اور اس نے کہا کہ میں نے گزشتہ کل چاند دیکھا تھا۔ آپ نے اس سے پوچھا کہ کیا تو گواہی دیتا ہے کہ اللہ کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں اور محمد اللہ کے بندے اور اس کے رسول ہیں ؟ اس نے کہا جی ہاں۔ حضور (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا کہ اے بلال لوگوں میں اعلان کردو کہ کل روزہ رکھیں۔
Hazrat Ibn Abbas farmate hain ke ek martaba ek dehati Huzoor (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ke paas aaya aur usne kaha ke maine guzishta kal chand dekha tha. Aap ne us se pucha ke kya tu gawahi deta hai ke Allah ke siwa koi mabood nahin aur Muhammad Allah ke bande aur uske rasool hain? Usne kaha ji haan. Huzoor (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya ke aye Bilal logon mein elan kardo ke kal roza rakhen.
حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، عَنْ زَائِدَةَ ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : جَاءَ رَجُلٌ أَعْرَابِيٌّ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ ، فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنِّي رَأَيْتُ الْهِلَالَ اللَّيْلَةَ ، قَالَ : « تَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَأَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ ؟» قَالَ : نَعَمْ ، قَالَ : « يَا بِلَالُ نَادِ فِي النَّاسِ يَصُومُوا غَدًا »
