Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 9737
It is narrated on the authority of Hazrat Qatadah that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saw the moon, he said three times: (Translation) This is the moon of goodness and guidance, this is the moon of goodness and guidance, I believe in the Lord who created you. Then he said, All praise is due to Allah who brought this month.
حضرت قتادہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے جب چاند دیکھا تو تین مرتبہ یہ کلمات فرمائے (ترجمہ) یہ خیر اور ہدایت کا چاند ہے، یہ خیر اور ہدایت کا چاند ہے، میں اس رب پر ایمان لایا جس نے تجھے پیدا کیا۔ پھر فرمایا تمام تعریفیں اس اللہ کے لیے ہیں جو اس مہینے کو لے آیا۔
Hazrat Qatada se riwayat hai keh Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne jab chand dekha to teen martaba yeh kalmat farmaye (Tarjuma) Yeh khair aur hidayat ka chand hai, yeh khair aur hidayat ka chand hai, main iss Rabb par iman laya jisne tujhe paida kiya. Phir farmaya tamam tareefain iss Allah ke liye hain jo iss mahine ko le aaya.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشِيرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ ، كَانَ إِذَا رَأَى هِلَالًا قَالَ : « هِلَالُ خَيْرٍ وَرُشْدٍ ، هِلَالُ خَيْرٍ وَرُشْدٍ ، آمَنْتُ بِالَّذِي خَلَقَكَ ، ثَلَاثًا ، الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَذْهَبَ بِشَهْرِ كَذَا وَكَذَا »
