Jami` at-Tirmidhi 193
Anas bin Malik narrated: Bilal was ordered to make the phrases of the Adhan even, and the phrases of the Iqamah odd. Imam Tirmidhi says: 1- The hadith of Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) is Hasan Sahih. 2- There is also a hadith in this chapter from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with both of them). 3- This is the saying of some of the scholars among the Companions and the Tabi'un, and Malik, Shafi'i, Ahmad, and Ishaq bin Rahwayh also say the same.

انس بن مالک رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ بلال رضی الله عنہ کو حکم دیا گیا تھا کہ وہ اذان دہری اور اقامت اکہری کہیں۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- انس رضی الله عنہ کی حدیث حسن صحیح ہے، ۲- اس باب میں ابن عمر رضی الله عنہما سے بھی حدیث آئی ہے، ۳- صحابہ کرام اور تابعین میں سے بعض اہل علم کا یہی قول ہے، اور مالک، شافعی، احمد اور اسحاق بن راہویہ بھی یہی کہتے ہیں۔
Anas bin Malik (رضي الله تعالى عنه) kehte hain ke Bلال (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ko hukm diya gaya tha ke woh aazan dohri aur iqamat akhri kahen. Imam Tirmizi kehte hain: 1. Ins (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ki hadees hasan sahih hai, 2. is bab mein Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se bhi hadees aayi hai, 3. sahaba e kuram aur tabiaeen mein se baaz ahl e ilm ka yehi qoul hai, aur Malik, Shafi, Ahmed aur Ishaq bin Rahawiya bhi yehi kehte hain.
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ الثَّقَفِيُّ، وَيَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ الْحَذَّاءِ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ: أُمِرَ بِلَالٌ أَنْ يَشْفَعَ الْأَذَانَ وَيُوتِرَ الْإِقَامَةَ . وَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ. قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى: وَحَدِيثُ أَنَسٍ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ، وَهُوَ قَوْلُ بَعْضِ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَالتَّابِعِينَ، وَبِهِ يَقُولُ مَالِكٌ، وَالشَّافِعِيُّ، وَأَحْمَدُ، وَإِسْحَاقُ.
