Jami` at-Tirmidhi 224
Abu Hurairah narrated that : Allah's Messenger said: The best rows for the men are the first of them, and the worst are the last of them. And the best rows for the women are the last of them, and the worst are the first of them. Imam Tirmidhi says: 1- The hadith of Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, is hasan sahih. 2- In this chapter, there are also hadiths from Jabir, Ibn Abbas, Abu Sa'id, Ubayy bin Ka'b, Aisha, Arbad bin Sariyah, and Anas, may Allah be pleased with them. 3- It is also narrated from the Prophet, peace be upon him, that he would seek forgiveness three times for those in the first row and once for those in the second row.

ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی الله علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”مردوں کی سب سے بہتر صف پہلی صف ہے ۱؎ اور سب سے بری آخری صف اور عورتوں کی سب سے بہتر صف آخری صف ۲؎ ہے اور سب سے بری پہلی صف“ ۳؎۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ کی حدیث حسن صحیح ہے، ۲- اس باب میں جابر، ابن عباس، ابوسعید، ابی بن کعب، عائشہ، عرباض بن ساریہ اور انس رضی الله عنہم سے بھی احادیث آئی ہیں، ۳- نبی اکرم صلی الله علیہ وسلم سے یہ بھی مروی ہے کہ آپ پہلی صف والوں کے لیے تین بار استغفار کرتے تھے اور دوسری کے لیے ایک بار۔
Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) kehte hain ke Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: "Mardon ki sab se behtar saf pehli saf hai 1 aur sab se buri aakhri saf aur auraton ki sab se behtar saf aakhri saf 2 hai aur sab se buri pehli saf" 3. Imam Tirmidhi kehte hain: 1. Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ki hadees hasan sahih hai, 2. is bab mein Jabir, Ibn Abbas, Abu Saeed, Abi bin Ka'ab, A'ishah, Arabaz bin Sariyah aur Anas (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se bhi ahadees aai hain, 3. Nabi-e-Akram (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se yeh bhi marwi hai ke aap pehli saf walon ke liye teen bar istigfar karte the aur doosri ke liye ek bar.
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: خَيْرُ صُفُوفِ الرِّجَالِ أَوَّلُهَا وَشَرُّهَا آخِرُهَا، وَخَيْرُ صُفُوفِ النِّسَاءِ آخِرُهَا وَشَرُّهَا أَوَّلُهَا قَالَ: وَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ جَابِرٍ، وابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، وأَبِي سَعِيدٍ، وأُبَيٍّ، وعَائِشَةَ، والْعِرْبَاضِ بْنِ سَارِيَةَ، وأَنَسٍ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى: حَدِيثُ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ، وَقَدْ رُوِيَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَسْتَغْفِرُ لِلصَّفِّ الْأَوَّلِ ثَلَاثًا وَلِلثَّانِي مَرَّة .
