Jami` at-Tirmidhi 232
Ibn Abbas (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated : 'I prayed with the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) one night. I stood at his left, so Allah's Apostle (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) took me by my head, from behind me, to put me on his right (side). Imam Tirmidhi said, there is something on this topic from Anas (رضي الله تعالى عنه). He said, the Hadith of Ibn Abbas (رضي الله تعالى عنه) is a Hasan Sahih Hadith. The people of knowledge among the companions of the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) and those after them act according to this. They say that when a man prays with the Imam he stands at the rightside of the Imam.

عبداللہ بن عباس رضی الله عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ ایک رات میں نے نبی اکرم ﷺ کے ساتھ نماز پڑھی، میں جا کر آپ کے بائیں جانب کھڑا ہو گیا تو رسول اللہ ﷺ نے پیچھے سے میرا سر پکڑا اور مجھے اپنے دائیں طرف کر لیا۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- ابن عباس رضی الله عنہما کی حدیث حسن صحیح ہے، ۲- اس باب میں انس رضی الله عنہ سے بھی حدیث آئی ہے، ۳- صحابہ کرام اور ان کے بعد والے اہل علم کا اسی پر عمل ہے کہ جب ایک آدمی امام کے ساتھ ہو تو وہ امام کے دائیں جانب کھڑا ہو۔
Abdul'llah bin Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a kehte hain ke aik raat mein ne Nabi e Akram sal'llahu alaihi wa sallam ke sath namaz padhi, mein ja kar aap ke bayen janib khada ho gaya to Rasool'llah sal'llahu alaihi wa sallam ne pichhe se mera sir pakda aur mujhe apne dayen taraf kar liya. Imam Tirmizi kehte hain: 1. Ibn Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a ki hadees hasan sahih hai, 2. is bab mein Anas (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se bhi hadees aayi hai, 3. Sahaba e kuram aur un ke baad wale ahl e ilm ka isi par amal hai ke jab aik aadmi imam ke sath ho to wo imam ke dayen janib khada ho.
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْعَطَّارُ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ كُرَيْبٍ مَوْلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: صَلَّيْتُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ذَاتَ لَيْلَةٍ، فَقُمْتُ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ: فَأَخَذَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِرَأْسِي مِنْ وَرَائِي فَجَعَلَنِي عَنْ يَمِينِهِ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى: وَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى: وَحَدِيثُ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ، وَالْعَمَلُ عَلَى هَذَا عِنْدَ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَمَنْ بَعْدَهُمْ، قَالُوا: إِذَا كَانَ الرَّجُلُ مَعَ الْإِمَامِ يَقُومُ عَنْ يَمِينِ الْإِمَامِ.
