Jami` at-Tirmidhi 257
Alqamah narrated that : Abdullah bin Mas'ud said: Shall I not demonstrate the Salat of Allah's Messenger to you? Then he offered Salat and he did not raise his hands except while saying the first Takbir. Imam Tirmidhi says: 1- The hadith of Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) is Hasan, 2- In this chapter, hadiths are also reported from Bara' bin Azib (may Allah be pleased with them both), 3- Many scholars among the noble companions and followers say the same, and this is also the view of Sufyan al-Thawri and the scholars of Kufa.

علقمہ کہتے ہیں کہ عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی الله عنہ نے کہا: ”کیا میں تمہیں رسول اللہ ﷺ کی طرح نماز نہ پڑھاؤں؟ تو انہوں نے نماز پڑھائی اور صرف پہلی مرتبہ اپنے دونوں ہاتھ اٹھائے ۱؎۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- ابن مسعود رضی الله عنہ کی حدیث حسن ہے، ۲- اس باب میں براء بن عازب رضی الله عنہما سے بھی حدیث آئی ہے، ۳- صحابہ کرام اور تابعین میں سے بہت سے اہل علم یہی کہتے ہیں اور یہی سفیان ثوری اور اہل کوفہ کا بھی قول ہے۔
Allamah kehte hain ke Abd-ul-lah bin Mas'ood (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ne kaha: "Kya main tumhein Rasool-ul-lah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki tarah namaz nahin padhaoon?" To unhon ne namaz padhai aur sirf pahli martaba apne dono hath uthaye 1؎. Imam Tirmizi kehte hain: 1- Ibn Mas'ood (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ki hadees hasan hai, 2- is bab mein Bara' bin 'Azab ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se bhi hadees aayi hai, 3- Sahaba e kuram aur Tabi'een mein se bahut se ahl e ilm yahi kehte hain aur yahi Sufyan Thauri aur ahl e Kufa ka bhi qoul hai.
حَدَّثَنَا هَنَّادٌ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ كُلَيْبٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْأَسْوَدِ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ: أَلَا أُصَلِّي بِكُمْ صَلَاةَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَصَلَّى فَلَمْ يَرْفَعْ يَدَيْهِ إِلَّا فِي أَوَّلِ مَرَّةٍ . قَالَ: وَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى: حَدِيثُ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ، وَبِهِ يَقُولُ: غَيْرُ وَاحِدٍ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَالتَّابِعِينَ، وَهُوَ قَوْلُ سُفْيَانَ الثَّوْرِيِّ وَأَهْلِ الْكُوفَةِ.
