Jami` at-Tirmidhi 309
Abdullah bin Buraidah narrated that his father (Buraidah) said: Allah's Messenger would recite: By the sun and its brightness, or similar Surah for the latter Isha (prayer). Imam Tirmidhi says: 1- The hadith of Buraidah (may Allah be pleased with him) is graded as Hasan, 2- In this chapter, hadiths are also narrated from Bara' bin Azib and Anas (may Allah be pleased with them), 3- It is narrated from the Noble Prophet (peace be upon him) that he recited Surahs "At-Tin" and "Az-Zaitoun" in the Isha prayer, 4- It is narrated from Uthman bin Affan that he used to recite in Isha prayer Surahs like Surah Al-Munafiqun and similar surahs, 5- It is also narrated from the Companions and the Followers that they recited more or less than this. Apparently, they had some flexibility in this matter, but the best thing in this series is what is narrated from the Noble Prophet (peace be upon him) that he recited Surah "Ash-Shams" and Surah "At-Tin" in the Isha prayer.

بریدہ رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی الله علیہ وسلم عشاء میں «والشمس وضحاها» اور اس جیسی سورتیں پڑھتے تھے۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- بریدہ رضی الله عنہ کی حدیث حسن ہے، ۲- اس باب میں براء بن عازب اور انس رضی الله عنہما سے بھی احادیث آئی ہیں۔ ۳- نبی اکرم صلی الله علیہ وسلم سے مروی ہے کہ آپ نے عشاء میں سورۃ «والتين والزيتون» پڑھی۔ ۴- عثمان بن عفان سے مروی ہے کہ وہ عشاء میں «وساط مفصل» کی سورتیں جیسے سورۃ المنافقون اور اس جیسی دوسری سورتیں پڑھا کرتے تھے، ۵- صحابہ کرام اور تابعین سے یہ بھی مروی ہے کہ ان لوگوں نے اس سے زیادہ اور اس سے کم بھی پڑھی ہے۔ گویا ان کے نزدیک معاملے میں وسعت ہے لیکن اس سلسلے میں سب سے بہتر چیز جو نبی اکرم صلی الله علیہ وسلم سے مروی ہے وہ یہ کہ آپ نے سورۃ «والشمس وضحاها» اور سورۃ «والتين والزيتون» پڑھی۔
Baridah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) kahte hain ke Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) Isha mein «Wal Sham wa Dhuhaaha» aur is jaisi Suraten padhte the. Imam Tirmidhi kahte hain: 1. Baridah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ki Hadith Hasan hai, 2. is Bab mein Baraa bin Aazib aur Anas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se bhi Ahadith aayi hain. 3. Nabi Akram (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se marwi hai ke Aap ne Isha mein Surah «Wal Teen Wal Zaitoon» padhi. 4. Usman bin Affan se marwi hai ke woh Isha mein «Wasat Mufassil» ki Suraten jaise Surah al Munafiquon aur is jaisi doosri Suraten padha karte the, 5. Sahaba e Karam aur Tabaiin se yeh bhi marwi hai ke in logon ne is se zyada aur is se kam bhi padhi. Goyo in ke nazdeek maamle mein wasat hai lekin is silsile mein sab se behtar cheez jo Nabi Akram (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se marwi hai woh yeh ke Aap ne Surah «Wal Sham wa Dhuhaaha» aur Surah «Wal Teen Wal Zaitoon» padhi.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْخُزَاعِيُّ الْبَصْرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ، حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ وَاقِدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقْرَأُ فِي الْعِشَاءِ الْآخِرَةِ بِ: الشَّمْسِ وَضُحَاهَا وَنَحْوِهَا مِنَ السُّوَرِ قَالَ: وَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ، وَأَنَسٍ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى: حَدِيثُ بُرَيْدَةَ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ، وَقَدْ رُوِيَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَرَأَ فِي الْعِشَاءِ الْآخِرَةِ بِ: التِّينِ وَالزَّيْتُونِ ، وَرُوِيَ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَفَّانَ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقْرَأُ فِي الْعِشَاءِ بِسُوَرٍ مِنْ أَوْسَاطِ الْمُفَصَّلِ نَحْوِ سُورَةِ الْمُنَافِقِينَ وَأَشْبَاهِهَا، وَرُوِيَ عَنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَالتَّابِعِينَ أَنَّهُمْ قَرَءُوا بِأَكْثَرَ مِنْ هَذَا وَأَقَلَّ، فَكَأَنَّ الْأَمْرَ عِنْدَهُمْ وَاسِعٌ فِي هَذَا، وَأَحْسَنُ شَيْءٍ فِي ذَلِكَ مَا رُوِيَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَرَأَ بِ: الشَّمْسِ وَضُحَاهَا وَ التِّينِ وَالزَّيْتُون
