Sunan Abi Dawud 4406
Ibn ‘Umar (رضي الله تعالى عنه) said, he was presented before the prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) on the day of Uhad when he was fourteen years old, but he did not allow him (to participate in the battle). He was again presented before him on the day of Khandaq when he was fifteen years old, then he allowed him.

عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ وہ نبی اکرم ﷺ کے سامنے غزوہ احد کے دن پیش کئے گئے تو ان کی عمر چودہ سال کی تھی آپ نے انہیں جنگ میں شمولیت کی اجازت نہیں دی، اور غزوہ خندق میں پیش ہوئے تو پندرہ سال کے تھے تو آپ ﷺ نے انہیں اجازت دے دی۔
Abdul-Allah bin Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se riwayat hai ke woh Nabi-e-Akram (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke samne ghazwa-e-Uhud ke din pesh kiye gaye to un ki umr chaudah saal ki thi aap ne unhen jang mein shumooliyat ki ijazat nahin di aur ghazwa-e-Khandaq mein pesh hue to pandrah saal ke the to aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne unhen ijazat de di.
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَنْبَلٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي نَافِعٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عُرِضَهُ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ، وَهُوَ ابْنُ أَرْبَعَ عَشْرَةَ سَنَةً فَلَمْ يُجِزْهُ وَعُرِضَهُ يَوْمَ الْخَنْدَقِ وَهُوَ ابْنُ خَمْسَ عَشْرَةَ سَنَةً فَأَجَازَهُ .
