It is narrated on the authority of Ma'qal bin Yasar (may Allah be pleased with him) that Umar Farooq (may Allah be pleased with him) appointed Nu'man (may Allah be pleased with him) as a governor/official…. Then he narrated the complete hadith. Nu'man (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I participated in battles with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). If the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) did not fight in the first part of the day, he would postpone it until the sun declined, the winds began to blow, and divine help descended.

حضرت معقل بن یسار رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ حضرت عمر فاروق رضی اللہ عنہ نے حضرت نعمان رضی اللہ عنہ کو عامل مقرر کیا۔۔۔۔۔۔ پھر انہوں نے مکمل حدیث ذکر کی حضرت نعمان رضی اللہ عنہ نے فرمایا کہ میں نے نبی کریم ﷺ کے ہمراہ غزوات میں شرکت کی ہے نبی کریم ﷺ اگر دن کے اول حصے میں قتال نہ کرتے تو اسے مؤخر کردیتے یہاں تک کہ زوال آفتاب ہوجاتا ہوائیں چلنے لگتیں اور نصرت الہٰیہ نازل ہوجاتی۔
Hazrat Maqal bin Yasar RA se marvi hai ki Hazrat Umar Farooq RA ne Hazrat Noman RA ko Aamil muqarrar kiya phir unhon ne mukammal hadees zikar ki Hazrat Noman RA ne farmaya ki maine Nabi Kareem SAW ke hamrah gazwaat mein shirkat ki hai Nabi Kareem SAW agar din ke awal hisse mein qatal na karte to use moakhir karte yahan tak ki zawaal aaftab hojata hawaen chalne lagti aur nusrat ilahiya nazil hojati
It is narrated on the authority of Numan bin Muqrin (may Allah be pleased with him) that in the presence of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), a man used harsh words with another man. The other man kept saying "peace be upon you" in response. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said that there is an angel between you two. Whenever this person abuses you, he defends you and responds to him by saying that you are like this and you are more deserving of it.

حضرت نعمان بن مقرن رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ کی موجودگی میں ایک آدمی نے دوسرے کے ساتھ تلخ کلامی کی وہ دوسرا آدمی " علیک السلام " ہی کہتا رہا نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا کہ تم دونوں کے درمیان ایک فرشتہ موجود ہے یہ شخص جب بھی تمہیں برا بھلا کہتا ہے تو وہ تمہارا دفاع کرتا ہے اور اسے جواب دیتا ہے کہ تم ہی ایسے ہو اور تم ہی اس کے زیادہ حقدار ہو۔
Hazrat Noman bin Muqrin razi Allah anhu se marvi hai ki Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki mojoodgi mein ek aadmi ne doosre ke sath talkh kalami ki woh doosra aadmi "Alaikas salam" hi kehta raha Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya ki tum donon ke darmiyan ek farishta mojood hai yeh shakhs jab bhi tumhein bura bhala kehta hai to woh tumhara difa karta hai aur usse jawab deta hai ki tum hi aise ho aur tum hi iske zyada haqdaar ho.
Narrated by Numan bin Muqrin (may Allah be pleased with him) that once four hundred people from the tribe of Muzainah came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) gave us the instructions he had to give, then some people said, "O Messenger of Allah! We have nothing to eat that we can use as provisions for the journey." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), "Give them provisions for the journey." He replied, "I only have a few dates left, and I don't think they will be enough for them." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Go and give them to them." So, Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) took us to his upper room where some dates were lying like a gray camel. Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "Take them." So, everyone started taking dates according to their needs. I was the last one. I saw that there was not even a single date missing from it, even though four hundred men had taken dates from there.

حضرت نعمان بن مقرن رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ نبی کریم ﷺ کی خدمت میں مزینہ کے ہم چار سو افراد حاضر ہوئے نبی کریم ﷺ نے ہمیں جو احکام دینے تھے سو دے دیئے پھر کچھ لوگ کہنے لگے یا رسول اللہ! ہمارے پاس کھانے کے لئے کچھ نہیں ہے جو ہم زاد راہ کے طور پر استعمال کرسکیں نبی کریم ﷺ نے حضرت عمر رضی اللہ عنہ سے فرمایا کہ انہیں زاد راہ دے دو انہوں نے عرض کیا کہ میرے پاس تو بچی کچھی تھوڑی سی کھجوریں ہیں اور میرا خیال نہیں ہے کہ وہ انہیں کچھ بھی کفایت کرسکیں گی نبی کریم ﷺ نے ان سے فرمایا کہ تم جا کر انہیں وہی دے دو چناچہ حضرت عمر رضی اللہ عنہ ہمیں لے کر اپنے ایک بالا خانے کی طرف چل پڑے جہاں خاکستری اونٹ کی طرح کچھ کھجوریں پڑی ہوئی تھیں حضرت عمر رضی اللہ عنہ نے فرمایا اٹھا لو چناچہ سب لوگ اپنی اپنی ضرورت کے مطابق کھجوریں اٹھانے لگے میں سب سے آخر میں تھا میں نے دیکھا کہ اس میں سے ایک کھجور کی جگہ بھی خالی نہیں ہوئی تھی حالانکہ وہاں سے چار سو آدمیوں نے کھجوریں اٹھائی تھیں۔
Hazrat Noman bin Muqrin (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki ek martaba Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki khidmat mein Mazeena ke hum chaar sau afrad hazir huye Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne hamein jo ahkam dene thay so de diye phir kuch log kehne lage Ya Rasulullah hamare pass khane ke liye kuch nahi hai jo hum zad e rah ke tor par istemal karsaken Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne Hazrat Umar (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se farmaya ki inhen zad e rah de do unhon ne arz kiya ki mere pass to bachi kucchi thori si khajoorein hain aur mera khayal nahi hai ki woh inhen kuch bhi kafiyat karsakein gi Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne un se farmaya ki tum ja kar inhen wohi de do chunache Hazrat Umar (رضي الله تعالى عنه) hamein lekar apne ek bala khane ki taraf chal pade jahan khakstari unt ki tarah kuch khajoorein padi hui thi Hazrat Umar (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ne farmaya utha lo chunache sab log apni apni zaroorat ke mutabiq khajoorein uthane lage mein sab se akhir mein tha maine dekha ki us mein se ek khajoor ki jagah bhi khali nahi hui thi halanke wahan se chaar sau admiyon ne khajoorein uthai thi.
