Hadith of Umm Sulaim (may Allah be pleased with her)
حَدِيثُ أُمِّ سُلَيْمٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا
Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 27113
It is narrated on the authority of Umm Sulaim (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Any Muslim whose three young children die, Allah will admit their parents into Paradise by His Mercy.”

حضرت ام سلیم رضی اللہ عنہا سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”وہ مسلمان آدمی جس کے تین نابالغ بچے فوت ہو گئے ہوں، اللہ ان بچوں کے ماں باپ کو اپنے فضل و کرم سے جنت میں داخلہ عطاء فرمائے گا۔“
Hazrat Umm Sulaim raziallahu anha se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: "Woh musalman aadmi jis ke teen nabaligh bache faut ho gaye hon, Allah un bachchon ke maan baap ko apne fazl o karam se jannat mein dakhla ata farmaye ga."
It is narrated on the authority of Umm Sulaim (may Allah be pleased with her) that once she asked the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): If a woman sees a wet dream like a man, what is the ruling? The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) replied, "If a woman sees such a dream and she experiences a discharge, then she must perform Ghusl (ritual bath)." Umm al-Mu'minin Umm Salama (may Allah be pleased with her) started laughing, so Umm Sulaim (may Allah be pleased with her) said that Allah Almighty is not ashamed of the truth. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Any of you women who sees such a dream should perform Ghusl."

حضرت ام سلیم رضی اللہ عنہا سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ میں نے نبی ﷺ سے پوچھا کہ اگر عورت بھی اسی طرح خواب دیکھے جیسے مرد دیکھتا ہے تو کیا حکم ہے؟ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”جو عورت ایسا خواب دیکھے اور اسے انزال ہو جائے تو اسے غسل کرنا چاہیے“، ام المؤمنین حضرت ام سلمہ رضی اللہ عنہا ہنسنے لگیں، تو ام سلیم رضی اللہ عنہا نے کہا کہ اللہ تعالیٰ حق بات سے نہیں شرماتا، نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”تم میں سے جو عورت ایسا خواب دیکھے اسے غسل کرنا چاہیے۔“
Hazrat Umm Sulaim razi Allah anha se marvi hai keh ek martaba maine Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se poocha keh agar aurat bhi isi tarah khawab dekhe jaise mard dekhta hai to kya hukum hai? Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: ”Jo aurat aisa khawab dekhe aur use inzal ho jaye to use ghusl karna chahie“, Ummulmomineen Hazrat Umm Salama razi Allah anha hansne lageen, to Umm Sulaim razi Allah anha ne kaha keh Allah Taala haq baat se nahin sharmaata, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: ”Tum mein se jo aurat aisa khawab dekhe use ghusl karna chahie.“
It is narrated by Umm Sulaim, may Allah be pleased with her, that once the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, came to her house. There was a leather water bag hanging in her house. The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, drank water from that leather bag while standing. Later, I cut off the top of that leather bag (from which the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, had drunk water) and kept it with me.

حضرت ام سلیم رضی اللہ عنہا سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ نبی ﷺ ان کے یہاں تشریف لائے ان کے گھر میں ایک مشکیزہ لٹکا ہوا تھا، نبی ﷺ نے کھڑے کھڑے اس مشکیزے سے منہ لگا کر پانی پیا بعد میں، میں نے اس مشکیزے کا منہ (جس سے نبی ﷺ نے منہ لگا کر پانی پیا تھا) کاٹ کر اپنے پاس رکھ لیا۔
Hazrat Umm Sulaim ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ا) se marvi hai ki ek martaba Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) unke yahan tashreef laaye unke ghar mein ek mashkizah latka hua tha, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne khde khde us mashkize se munh laga kar pani piya baad mein, mein ne us mashkize ka munh (jis se Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne munh laga kar pani piya tha) kaat kar apne pass rakh liya.
It is narrated on the authority of Umm Sulaim (may Allah be pleased with her) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was on a journey and the caller to prayer (Muezzin) was driving the mounts of the Mothers of the Believers. He started driving the animals quickly, upon which the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, “O Anjasha! Drive these fragile ones slowly.”

حضرت ام سلیم رضی اللہ عنہا سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ نبی ﷺ سفر پر تھے اور حدی خوان امہات المؤمنین کی سواریوں کو ہانک رہا تھا، اس نے جانوروں کو تیزی سے ہانکنا شروع کر دیا اس پر نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”انجشہ! ان آبگینوں کو آہستہ لے کر چلو۔“
Hazrat Umm Sulaim raziallahu anha se marvi hai ki ek martaba Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) safar per thay aur hadi khwan ummahaatul momineen ki sawariyon ko hank raha tha, usne janwaron ko tezise hankna shuru kar diya is per Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: “Injisha! In aabeeno ko aahista le kar chalo.”
It is narrated on the authority of Umm Sulaim (RA) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to come to her house and sleep on her bed. She would not be there. One day, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came as usual and slept on her bed. When she came home, she saw that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was drenched in sweat. She began to soak up the sweat with cotton and squeeze it into a bottle and mixed it with her perfume. She says that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to pray on a mat.

حضرت ام سلیم رضی اللہ عنہا سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ ان کے گھر تشریف لا کر ان کے بستر پر سو جاتے تھے، وہ وہاں نہیں ہوتی تھیں، ایک دن نبی ﷺ حسب معمول آئے اور ان کے بستر پر سو گئے، وہ گھر آئیں تو دیکھا کہ نبی ﷺ پسینے میں بھیگے ہوئے ہیں، وہ روئی سے اس پسینے کو اس میں جذب کر کے ایک شیشی میں نچوڑنے لگیں اور اپنی خوشبو میں شامل کر لیا۔ وہ کہتی ہیں کہ نبی ﷺ چٹائی پر نماز پڑھ لیا کرتے تھے۔

Woh kahti hain ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) chatai par namaz parh liya karte the.
It is narrated on the authority of Umm Sulaim (may Allah be pleased with her) that once she asked the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) that if a woman sees a wet dream like a man does, then what is the ruling? May your hands be covered in dust, you have disgraced all women in front of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)!" Umm Sulaim (may Allah be pleased with her) replied: "Allah Almighty is not ashamed of the truth, and it is better for us to ask the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) about any matter of goodness than to remain ignorant of it." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her): "Rather, may your hands be covered in dust! Yes Umm Sulaim, if a woman sees such a dream, then Ghusl becomes obligatory upon her." Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: "O Messenger of Allah! Does a woman also have (seminal) fluid?" The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Then why does the child resemble the woman? Women are the counterparts of men."

حضرت ام سلیم رضی اللہ عنہا سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ انہوں نے نبی ﷺ سے پوچھا کہ اگر عورت بھی اسی طرح خواب دیکھے جیسے مرد دیکھتا ہے تو کیا حکم ہے؟ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: جو عورت ایسا خواب دیکھے اور اسے انزال ہو جائے تو اسے غسل کرنا چاہیے، ام المؤمنین حضرت ام سلمہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے فرمایا: ام سلیم! تمہارے ہاتھ خاک آلود ہوں، تم نے تو نبی ﷺ کے سامنے ساری عورتوں کو رسوا کر دیا، ام سلیم رضی اللہ عنہا کہنے لگیں اللہ تعالیٰ حق بات سے نہیں شرماتا، خیر کی کوئی بات نبی ﷺ سے پوچھ لینا ہمارے نزدیک اس کے متعلق ناواقف رہنے سے بہتر ہے، نبی ﷺ نے حضرت ام سلمہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے فرمایا: ”بلکہ تمہارے ہاتھ خاک آلود ہوں، ہاں ام سلیم! اگر عورت ایسا خواب دیکھے تو اس پر غسل واجب ہوتا ہے“، حضرت ام سلمہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے عرض کیا: یا رسول اللہ! کیا عورت کا بھی پانی ہوتا ہے، نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”پھر بچہ عورت کے مشابہ کیوں ہوتا ہے؟ عورتیں مردوں کا جوڑا ہیں۔“

Nabi SAW ne farmaya: Jo aurat aisa khawab dekhe aur use inzal ho jaye to use ghusl karna chahie, Ummulmomineen Hazrat Umm Salma RA ne farmaya: Umm Sulaim! tumhare hath khak aalud hain, tum ne to Nabi SAW ke samne sari auraton ko ruswa kar diya, Umm Sulaim RA kahne lagin Allah Ta'ala haq baat se nahi sharmate, khair ki koi baat Nabi SAW se pooch lena hamare nazdeek uske mutalliq nawaqif rahne se behtar hai, Nabi SAW ne Hazrat Umm Salma RA se farmaya: “Balke tumhare hath khak aalud hon, haan Umm Sulaim! agar aurat aisa khawab dekhe to us par ghusl wajib hota hai”, Hazrat Umm Salma RA ne arz kiya: Ya Rasulullah! kya aurat ka bhi pani hota hai, Nabi SAW ne farmaya: “Phir bachcha aurat ke mushabiha kyon hota hai? Auraten mardon ka joda hain.”
It is narrated on the authority of Umm Sulaim (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to offer prayer on a mat.
