Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 11810
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Whoever accompanies a funeral procession should not sit down before the bier is placed on the ground."

حضرت ابوسعید خدری رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا جو شخص جنازے کے ساتھ جائے وہ جنازہ زمین پر رکھے جانے سے پہلے خود نہ بیٹھے۔
Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri RA se marvi hai keh Nabi SAW ne farmaya jo shakhs janaze ke sath jaye woh janaza zameen par rakhe jane se pehle khud na baithe.
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَاصِمٍ ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي سُهَيْلُ بْنُ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" مَنْ تَبِعَ جِنَازَةً، فَلَا يَجْلِسْ حَتَّى تُوضَعَ".
