Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 11809
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that once during the prosperous era of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), inflation increased. The Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) requested, "Please set the prices for us." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) replied, "Allah alone is the One who sets the prices. I desire that when I depart from amongst you, none of you should have any claim against me for any injustice done to his wealth or life."

حضرت ابوسعید خدری رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ نبی ﷺ کے دور باسعادت میں مہنگائی بڑھ گئی تو صحابہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے عرض کیا کہ آپ ہمارے لئے نرخ مقرر فرما دیجئے، نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا قیمت مقرر کرنے اور نرخ مقرر کرنے والا اللہ ہی ہے، میں چاہتا ہوں کہ جب میں تم سے جدا ہو کر جاؤں تو تم میں سے کوئی اپنے مال یا جان پر کسی ظلم کا مجھ سے مطالبہ کرنے والا نہ ہو۔
Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri RA se marvi hai ke ek martaba Nabi SAW ke dor e basadat mein mehangai barh gai to sahaba RA ne arz kiya ke aap humare liye narhk muqarrar farma dijiye, Nabi SAW ne farmaya qeemat muqarrar karne aur narhk muqarrar karne wala Allah hi hai, mein chahta hun ke jab mein tum se juda ho kar jaun to tum mein se koi apne maal ya jaan par kisi zulm ka mujh se mutalba karne wala na ho.
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَاصِمٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا الْجُرَيْرِيُّ ، عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، قَالَ: غَلَا السِّعْرُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالُوا لَهُ: لَوْ قَوَّمْتَ لَنَا سِعْرَنَا، قَالَ:" إِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ الْمُقَوِّمُ أَوْ الْمُسَعِّرُ، إِنِّي لَأَرْجُو أَنْ أُفَارِقَكُمْ، وَلَيْسَ أَحَدٌ مِنْكُمْ يَطْلُبُنِي بِمَظْلَمَةٍ فِي مَالٍ، وَلَا نَفْسٍ".
