Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 12636
It is narrated by Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that once I went with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) to visit Zayd bin Arqam, whose eyesight had been lost. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked him, "Zayd! Tell me, if your eyes were to go back to where they came from, what would you do?" He replied, "I would be patient and hope for reward." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "If your eyesight has been lost and you are patient with it and hope for reward, then you will meet Allah in such a state that there will be no sin on you."

حضرت انس رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ میں نبی ﷺ کے ساتھ زید بن ارقم کی عیادت کے لئے گیا، ان کی آنکھوں کی بصارت ختم ہوگئی تھی، نبی ﷺ نے ان سے فرمایا زید! یہ بتاؤ کہ اگر تمہاری آنکھیں چلی جائیں جہاں سے لی ہیں تو تم کیا کرو گے؟ انہوں نے عرض کیا کہ میں صبر کروں گا اور ثواب کی امید رکھوں گا، نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا اگر تمہاری بینائی ختم ہوگئی اور تم نے اس پر صبر کیا اور ثواب کی امید رکھی تو تم اللہ سے اس طرح ملو گے کہ تم پر کوئی گناہ نہیں ہوگا۔
Hazrat Anas (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki ek martaba main Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke sath Zaid bin Arqam ki aiyadat ke liye gaya, un ki aankhon ki basarat khatam ho gai thi, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne un se farmaya Zaid! yeh batao ki agar tumhari aankhen chali jayen jahan se li hain to tum kya karoge? unhon ne arz kiya ki main sabar karunga aur sawab ki umeed rakhunga, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya agar tumhari beenai khatam ho gai aur tum ne is par sabar kiya aur sawab ki umeed rakhi to tum Allah se is tarah miloge ki tum par koi gunah nahi hoga.
(حديث قدسي) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، عَنْ خَيْثَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، قَالَ: دَخَلَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى زَيْدِ بْنِ أَرْقَمَ يَعُودُهُ وَهُوَ يَشْكُو عَيْنَيْهِ، قَالَ:" كَيْفَ أَنْتَ لَوْ كَانَتْ عَيْنُكَ لِمَا بِهَا؟" قَالَ: إِذًا أَصْبِرُ وَأَحْتَسِبُ، قَالَ:" لَوْ كَانَتْ عَيْنُكَ لِمَا بِهَا، لَلَقِيتَ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ عَلَى غَيْرِ ذَنْبٍ".
