Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 14731
Abu Zubair said, "I asked Jabir ibn Abdullah, 'Did you hear the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say that when a person commits adultery, he is not a believer, and when a person steals, he is not a believer?' He said, 'I myself did not hear this hadith from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). However, Ibn Umar said that he heard this hadith from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).'"

ابوزبیر کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے سیدنا جابر رضی اللہ عنہ سے پوچھا کہ کیا آپ نے نبی ﷺ کو یہ فرماتے وقت سنا ہے کہ جس وقت کوئی شخص بدکاری کر رہا ہوتا ہے وہ مومن نہیں رہتا اور جس وقت کوئی شخص چوری کر رہا ہوتا تو وہ اس وقت مومن نہیں رہتا انہوں نے فرمایا کہ میں نے خود تو نبی ﷺ سے یہ حدیث نہیں سنی البتہ ابن عمر نے بتایا ہے کہ انہوں نے یہ حدیث نبی ﷺ سے سنی ہے۔
Abuzubair kahte hain ke maine Sayyidina Jabir (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se pucha ke kya aap ne Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko ye farmate waqt suna hai ke jis waqt koi shakhs badkari kar raha hota hai wo momin nahi rehta aur jis waqt koi shakhs chori kar raha hota to wo us waqt momin nahi rehta unhon ne farmaya ke maine khud to Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se ye hadees nahi suni albatta Ibn Umar ne bataya hai ke unhon ne ye hadees Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se suni hai.
حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ جَابِرًا أَسَمِعْتَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ:" لَا يَزْنِي الزَّانِي حِينَ يَزْنِي وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ، وَلَا يَسْرِقُ حِينَ يَسْرِقُ وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ؟"، قَالَ جَابِرٌ: لَمْ أَسْمَعْهُ، قَالَ جَابِرٌ : وَأَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ عُمْرَ أَنَّهُ قَدْ سَمِعَهُ.
