Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 14928
Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that once we were returning with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). When we reached Dhat ar-Riqa', we left a shady tree for the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). A polytheist came while the Prophet's (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) sword was hanging from the tree. He took the Prophet's (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) sword, unsheathed it, and said, "Do you fear me?" I said, "No." He said, "Then who will save you from me now?" I said, "Allah." Hearing this, the sword fell from his hand. Then you [the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)] asked him, "Who will save you from me now?" Then the Companions apprehended him, and the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had the sword put back in its scabbard. Then the call to prayer was made. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) led one group in two rak'ahs of prayer. Then they left, and he led another group in two rak'ahs. Thus, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) prayed four rak'ahs, and the people prayed two rak'ahs.

سیدنا جابر رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ ایک مرتبہ ہم لوگ رسول اللہ کے ساتھ واپس آرہے تھے ذات الرقاع میں پہنچ کر ہم نے ایک سایہ دار درخت نبی ﷺ کے لئے چھوڑ دیا ایک مشرک آیا اس وقت نبی ﷺ کی تلوار درخت سے لٹکی ہوئی تھی اس نے نبی ﷺ کی تلوار لے کر اسے سونت لیا اور کہنے لگا کہ آپ مجھ سے ڈرتے ہیں میں نے کہا نہیں اس نے کہا اب تم کو میرے ہاتھ سے کون بچائے گا میں نے کہا اللہ بچائے گا یہ سن کر اس کے ہاتھ سے تلوار گرگئی پھر آپ نے اس سے پوچھا کہ اب آپ کو مجھ سے کون بچائے گا پھر صحابہ نے اسے ڈرایا اور حضور نے تلوار کو نیام میں ڈال لیا اور پھر نماز کا اعلان کیا نبی ﷺ نے ایک گروہ کو دو رکعتیں پڑھائیں پھر وہ لوگ چلے گئے اور دوسرے گروہ کو بھی دو رکعتیں پڑھائیں اس طرح نبی ﷺ کی چار رکعتیں ہو گئیں اور لوگوں کی دو رکعتیں ہوئیں۔
Sayyidna Jabir (رضي الله تعالى عنه) kehte hain ki ek martaba hum log Rasul Allah ke sath wapas aa rahe the Zat ul Raqa mein pahunch kar humne ek saya dar darakht Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke liye chhod diya ek mushrik aaya us waqt Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki talwar darakht se latki hui thi usne Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki talwar lekar usey sont liya aur kehne laga ki aap mujhse darte hain maine kaha nahin usne kaha ab tum ko mere hath se kaun bachayega maine kaha Allah bachayega yeh sunkar uske hath se talwar gir gayi phir aap ne us se puchha ki ab aap ko mujhse kaun bachayega phir Sahaba ne usey daraya aur Huzoor ne talwar ko niyam mein dal liya aur phir namaz ka elan kiya Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne ek giroh ko do rakaten parhaen phir woh log chale gaye aur dusre giroh ko bhi do rakaten parhaen is tarah Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki chaar rakaten ho gayin aur logon ki do rakaten ho gayin.
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبَانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ: أَقْبَلْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، حَتَّى إِذَا كُنَّا بِذَاتِ الرِّقَاعِ، قَالَ: كُنَّا إِذَا أَتَيْنَا عَلَى شَجَرَةٍ ظَلِيلَةٍ، تَرَكْنَاهَا لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَجَاءَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ، وَسَيْفُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مُعَلَّقٌ بِشَجَرَةٍ، فَأَخَذَ سَيْفَ نَبِيِّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَاخْتَرَطَهُ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَتَخَافُنِي؟، قَالَ:" لَا"، قَالَ: فَمَنْ يَمْنَعُكَ مِنِّي؟، قَالَ:" اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ يَمْنَعُنِي مِنْكَ"، قَالَ: فَتَهَدَّدَهُ أَصْحَابُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَأَغْمَدَ السَّيْفَ وَعَلَّقَهُ، فَنُودِيَ بِالصَّلَاةِ، فَصَلَّى بِطَائِفَةٍ رَكْعَتَيْنِ، وَتَأَخَّرُوا، وَصَلَّى بِالطَّائِفَةِ الْأُخْرَى رَكْعَتَيْنِ، فَكَانَتْ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَرْبَعُ رَكَعَاتٍ، وَلِلْقَوْمِ رَكْعَتَانِ.
