Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 15065
Narrated by Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him), once the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "A man from the people of Paradise will come to you soon." A little while later, Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) arrived and we congratulated him. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Another man from the people of Paradise will come to you soon." A short while later, Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) arrived, and we congratulated him as well. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) then said: "Another man from the people of Paradise will come to you soon," and he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) began to say, "O Allah, if You will, let the one who is coming be Ali." So, it was Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) who arrived, and we congratulated him too.

سیدنا جابر رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے ایک مرتبہ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: ابھی تمہارے پاس ایک جنتی آئے گا تھوڑی دیر بعد سیدنا صدیق اکبر تشریف لائے ہم نے انہیں مبارک باد دی نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: ابھی تمہارے پاس ایک اور جنتی آدمی آئے گا تھوڑ دیر بعد سیدنا عمر تشریف لائے ہم نے انہیں بھی مبارک باد دی نبی ﷺ نے پھر فرمایا کہ ابھی تمہارے تمہارے پاس ایک اور جنتی آدمی آئے گا اور فرمانے لگے کہ اے اللہ اگر تو چاہتا تو آنے والا علی ہوتا چنانچہ سیدنا علی ہی آئے اور ہم نے انہیں بھی مبارک باد دی۔
Sayyedna Jabir (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ek martaba Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: Abhi tumhare pass ek jannati ayega thori dair baad Sayyedna Siddiq Akbar tashreef laye humne unhen mubarakbaad di Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: Abhi tumhare pass ek aur jannati aadmi ayega thori dair baad Sayyedna Umar tashreef laye humne unhen bhi mubarakbaad di Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne phir farmaya keh abhi tumhare tumhare pass ek aur jannati aadmi ayega aur farmane lage keh aye Allah agar tu chahta to aane wala Ali hota chunancha Sayyedna Ali hi aye aur humne unhen bhi mubarakbaad di.
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ , أَخْبَرَنَا شَرِيكُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَقِيلٍ , عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ , قَالَ: كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , فَقَالَ:" يَطْلُعُ عَلَيْكُمْ رَجُلٌ" , أَوْ قَالَ:" يَدْخُلُ عَلَيْكُمْ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ"، فَجَاءَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ , ثُمَّ قَالَ:" يَطْلُعُ عَلَيْكُمْ، أَوْ يَدْخُلُ عَلَيْكُمْ شَابٌّ - يُرِيدُ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ"، قَالَ: فَجَاءَ عُمَرُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ , ثُمَّ قَالَ:" يَطْلُعُ عَلَيْكُمْ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ , اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْهُ عَلِيًّا , اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْهُ عَلِيًّا"، قَالَ: فَجَاءَ عَلِيٌّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ.
