Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 17803
It is narrated on the authority of Hadrat Amr bin Aas (may Allah be pleased with him) that do not create confusion about the Sunnah of our Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), if the master of an Umm Walad passes away, then her waiting period will be four months and ten days.

حضرت عمرو بن عاص رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ تم ہمارے اوپر ہمارے نبی ﷺ کی سنت میں اشتباہ پیدا نہ کرو، ام ولدہ کا آقا اگر فوت ہوجائے تو اس کی عدت چار ماہ دس دن ہوگی۔
Hazrat Amro bin Aas razi Allah anhu se marvi hai ki tum humare upar humare nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki sunnat mein ishtibah paida na karo, umme walada ka aqa agar faut ho jae to uski iddat chaar mah das din hogi.
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدٌ ، عَن قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ رَجَاءِ بْنِ حَيْوَةَ ، عَنْ قَبِيصَةَ بْنِ ذُؤَيْبٍ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ ، قَالَ:" لَا تَلْبِسُوا عَلَيْنَا سُنَّةَ نَبِيِّنَا، عِدَّةُ أُمِّ الْوَلَدِ إِذَا تُوُفِّيَ عَنْهَا سَيِّدُهَا: أَرْبَعَةُ أَشْهُرٍ وَعَشْرٌ" .
