Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 18141
It is narrated on the authority of Mughira (may Allah be pleased with him) that during a journey, I poured water for the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) to perform ablution. He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) washed his face and arms and wiped his head and over his socks. I said, "O Messenger of Allah! Should I not remove your socks?" He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) replied, "No, I wore them while in a state of purity, so I will not remove them and walk without them." Then, you (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) prayed the Fajr prayer in the same manner.

حضرت مغیرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ میں نے ایک سفر میں نبی کریم ﷺ کو وضو کرایا نبی کریم ﷺ نے اپنا چہرہ اور بازو دھوئے اور سر اور موزوں پر مسح فرمایا میں نے عرض کیا یا رسول اللہ! کیا میں آپ کے موزے اتار نہ دوں؟ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا نہیں میں نے یہ وضو کی حالت میں پہنے تھے پھر میں انہیں اتار کر نہیں چلا، پھر آپ ﷺ نے فجر کی نماز اسی طرح پڑھ لی۔
Hazrat Mugheera RA se marvi hai ki maine ek safar mein Nabi Kareem SAW ko wuzu karaya Nabi Kareem SAW ne apna chehra aur bazu dhoye aur sar aur mozon par masah farmaya maine arz kiya Ya Rasulullah kya main aap ke moze utar na dun Nabi Kareem SAW ne farmaya nahi maine ye wuzu ki halat mein pehne the phir main inhen utar kar nahi chala phir aap SAW ne fajr ki namaz isi tarah parh li.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ الْكِلَابِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُجَالِدٌ ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ ، عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ ، قَالَ: وَضَّأْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي سَفَرٍ، فَغَسَلَ وَجْهَهُ وَذِرَاعَيْهِ، وَمَسَحَ بِرَأْسِهِ، وَمَسَحَ عَلَى خُفَّيْهِ، فَقُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، أَلَا أَنْزِعُ خُفَّيْكَ؟ قَالَ:" لَا، إِنِّي أَدْخَلْتُهُمَا وَهُمَا طَاهِرَتَانِ، ثُمَّ لَمْ أَمْشِ حَافِيًا بَعْدُ" ثُمَّ صَلَّى صَلَاةَ الصُّبْح .
