Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 18886
It is narrated by Ammar (may Allah be pleased with him) that once I came to my family at night, my hands were cracked, so they applied saffron to my hands. In the morning I went to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and greeted him, but he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) neither responded to my greeting nor welcomed me, but said, "Go and wash it off and come back." I went and washed it, but when I came back, the saffron still remained, so this time too, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) did not respond to my greeting, nor did he welcome me, but said, "Go and wash it off and come back". So, this time I washed it thoroughly and when I came back and greeted him, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) responded to my greeting and welcomed me, and said, "The angels of mercy do not come near the funeral of a disbeliever, one who has applied saffron, or one who is in a state of impurity," and the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) has given permission to a person in the state of impurity to sleep or eat and drink after performing ablution.

حضرت عمار رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ میں رات کے وقت اپنے گھر والوں کے پاس آیا میرے ہاتھ پھٹ چکے تھے اس لئے انہوں نے میرے ہاتھوں پر زعفران مل دی صبح کو میں نبی کریم ﷺ کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوا اور سلام کیا تو آپ ﷺ نے مجھے جواب دیا اور نہ ہی خوش آمدید کہا بلکہ فرمایا اسے دھو کر آؤ میں نے جا کر اسے دھولیا لیکن جب واپس آیا تو پھر بھی زعفران لگی رہ گئی تھی اس لئے اس مرتبہ بھی نبی کریم ﷺ نے سلام کا جواب دیا اور نہ ہی خوش آمدید کہا بلکہ فرمایا اسے دھو کر آؤ چناچہ اس مرتبہ میں نے اسے اچھی طرح دھویا اور پھر حاضر ہو کر سلام کیا تو نبی کریم ﷺ نے جواب بھی دیا اور خوش آمدید بھی کہا اور فرمایا کہ رحمت کے فرشتے کافر کے جنازے، زعفران ملنے والے اور جنبی کے پاس نہیں آتے اور نبی کریم ﷺ نے جنبی آدمی کو وضو کرکے سوجانے یا کھانے پینے کی رخصت دی ہے۔
Hazrat Ammar Radi Allaho Anho se marvi hai keh aik martaba mein raat ke waqt apne ghar walon ke pass aaya mere hath phat chuke thay is liye unhon ne mere hathon per zaffran mal di subah ko mein Nabi Kareem Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ki khidmat mein hazir hua aur salam kiya to aap Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ne mujhe jawab diya aur na hi khush aamadeed kaha balkeh farmaya ise dho kar aao mein ne ja kar ise dho liya lekin jab wapas aaya to phir bhi zaffran lagi rahi thi is liye is martaba bhi Nabi Kareem Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ne salam ka jawab diya aur na hi khush aamadeed kaha balkeh farmaya ise dho kar aao chunacha is martaba mein ne ise achhi tarah dhoya aur phir hazir ho kar salam kiya to Nabi Kareem Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ne jawab bhi diya aur khush aamadeed bhi kaha aur farmaya keh rehmat ke farishtey kafir ke janaze, zaffran milne wale aur junubi ke pass nahin aate aur Nabi Kareem Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ne junubi aadmi ko wuzu karke so jaane ya khane peene ki rukhsat di hai.
حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزُ بْنُ أَسَدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَطَاءٌ الْخُرَاسَانِيُّ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ يَعْمَرَ ، أَنَّ عَمَّارًا قَالَ: قَدِمْتُ عَلَى أَهْلِي لَيْلًَا وَقَدْ تَشَقَّقَتْ يَدَايَ، فَضَمَّخُونِي بِالزَّعْفَرَانِ، فَغَدَوْتُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَسَلَّمْتُ عَلَيْهِ، فَلَمْ يَرُدَّ عَلَيَّ وَلَمْ يُرَحِّبْ بِي، فَقَالَ:" اغْسِلْ هَذَا"، قَالَ: فَذَهَبْتُ، فَغَسَلْتُهُ، ثُمَّ جِئْتُ وَقَدْ بَقِيَ عَلَيَّ مِنْهُ شَيْءٌ، فَسَلَّمْتُ عَلَيْهِ، فَلَمْ يَرُدَّ عَلَيَّ وَلَمْ يُرَحِّبْ بِي، وَقَالَ:" اغْسِلْ هَذَا عَنْكَ"، فَذَهَبْتُ فَغَسَلْتُهُ، ثُمَّ جِئْتُ، فَسَلَّمْتُ عَلَيْهِ، فَرَدَّ عَلَيَّ، وَرَحَّبَ بِي، وَقَالَ: " إِنَّ الْمَلاَئِكَةَ لَا تَحْضُرُ جَنَازَةَ الْكَافِرِ وَلَا الْمُتَضَمِّخَ بِزَعْفَرَانٍ ولَا الْجُنُبَ" . وَرَخَّصَ لِلْجُنُبِ إِذَا نَامَ أَوْ أَكَلَ أَوْ شَرِبَ أَنْ يَتَوَضَّأَ.
