Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 19201
Hamam said that once Jarir (may Allah be pleased with him) urinated, performed ablution, and wiped over his socks. Someone asked him, "How can you wipe over your socks when you have just urinated?" He replied, "Yes! I have seen the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) himself urinating, performing ablution, and then wiping over his socks." Ibrahim said that the scholars of Hadith consider this narration to be very important because Jarir (may Allah be pleased with him) accepted Islam after the revelation of Surah Al-Ma'idah (in which the verses of ablution are mentioned).

ہمام کہتے ہیں کہ ایک مرتبہ حضرت جریر رضی اللہ عنہ نے پیشاب کرکے وضو کیا اور اپنے موزوں پر مسح کیا کسی نے ان سے کہا کہ آپ موزوں پر مسح کیسے کررہے ہیں جبکہ ابھی تو آپ نے پیشاب کیا ہے؟ انہوں نے فرمایا ہاں! میں نے نبی کریم ﷺ کو بھی دیکھا ہے کہ انہوں نے پیشاب کرکے وضو کیا اور اپنے موزوں پر مسح فرمایا۔ ابراہیم کہتے ہیں کہ محدثیین اس حدیث کو بہت اہمیت دیتے کیونکہ حضرت جریر رضی اللہ عنہ نے سورت امائدہ (میں آیت وضو) ' کے نزول کے بعد اسلام قبول کیا تھا۔
Hamam kehte hain keh aik martaba Hazrat Jarir Radi Allaho Anho ne peshab kar ke wazu kiya aur apne mozon per masah kiya kisi ne un se kaha keh aap mozon per masah kese kar rahe hain jab keh abhi to aap ne peshab kiya hai unhon ne farmaya han main ne Nabi Kareem Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ko bhi dekha hai keh unhon ne peshab kar ke wazu kiya aur apne mozon per masah farmaya Ibrahim kehte hain keh muhaddiseen is hadees ko bohat ahmiyat dete kyonkeh Hazrat Jarir Radi Allaho Anho ne Surah Maida (mein ayat wazu) ke nuzool ke bad Islam qubool kiya tha.
حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ هَمَّامٍ ، قَالَ: رَأَيْتُ جَرِيرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ مِطْهَرَةٍ، وَمَسَحَ عَلَى خُفَّيْهِ، فَقَالُوا: أَتَمْسَحُ عَلَى خُفَّيْكَ؟ فَقَالَ: إِنِّي" رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَقَالَ مَرَّةً: يَمْسَحُ عَلَى خُفَّيْهِ" . فَكَانَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثُ يُعْجِبُ أَصْحَابَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، يَقُولُونَ: إِنَّمَا كَانَ إِسْلَامُهُ بَعْدَ نُزُولِ الْمَائِدَةِ.
