Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 20099
It is narrated on the authority of Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Sam is the ancestor of the Arabs, Ham is the ancestor of the Abyssinians and Yafith is the ancestor of the Romans.

حضرت سمرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا سام اہل عرب کا مورث اعلی ہے، حام اہل حبش کا مورث اعلی ہے اور یافث رومیوں کا مورث اعلی ہے۔
Hazrat Samra RA se marvi hai keh Nabi SAW ne irshad farmaya Saam ehl Arab ka mores aala hai, Ham ehl Habsh ka mores aala hai aur Yaafis Rumiyon ka mores aala hai.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، عَنْ سَمُرَةَ , أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " سَامُ أَبُو الْعَرَبِ، وَحَامُ أَبُو الْحَبَشِ، وَيَافِثُ أَبُو الرُّومِ" .
