Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 20100
It is narrated on the authority of Samra (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Sam is the ancestor of the Arabs, Ham is the ancestor of the Abyssinians, and Japheth is the ancestor of the Romans.

حضرت سمرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا سام اہل عرب کا مورث اعلی ہے، حام اہل حبش کا مورث اعلی ہے اور یافث رومیوں کا مورث اعلی ہے۔
Hazrat Samra RA se marvi hai ke Nabi SAW ne irshad farmaya Sam ehl Arab ka mooris aala hai, Ham ehl Habsh ka mooris aala hai aur Yafis Romiyon ka mooris aala hai.
حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنٌ ، قال: حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، قَالَ: وَحَدَّثَ الْحَسَنُ ، عَنْ سَمُرَةَ : أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَقُولُ: " سَامُ أَبُو الْعَرَبِ، وَيَافِثُ أَبُو الرُّومِ، وَحَامُ أَبُو الْحَبَشِ" .
