Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 20166
Samurah bin Jundab, may Allah be pleased with him, used to say that the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, would observe silence twice during the prayer: once at the beginning of the prayer and once after the recitation and before bowing. Imran bin Husain said, "I do not recall this from the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him." They both wrote a letter to Abi bin Ka'b regarding this matter and inquired about it. Abi bin Ka'b replied, "I confirm the statement of Samurah, may Allah be pleased with him."

حضرت سمرہ بن جندب رضی اللہ عنہ فرماتے تھے کہ نبی ﷺ نماز میں دو مرتبہ سکوت فرماتے تھے ایک مرتبہ نماز کے آغاز میں اور ایک مرتبہ رکوع سے پہلے اور قرأت کے بعد حضرت عمران بن حصین کا کہنا تھا کہ مجھے نبی ﷺ کے حوالے سے یہ یاد نہیں ' ان دونوں نے اس سلسلے میں حضرت ابی بن کعب کی طرف خط لکھا جس میں ان سے یہ مسئلہ دریافت کیا حضرت ابی بن کعب نے جواب دیا میں نے حضرت سمرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کی تصدیق کی۔
Hazrat Samra bin Jundab RA farmate thy k Nabi SAW namaz mein do martaba sakut farmate thy ek martaba namaz k aghaz mein aur ek martaba rukuh se pehle aur qirat k baad Hazrat Imran bin Haseen ka kehna tha k mujhe Nabi SAW k hawale se ye yaad nahi in dono ne is silsile mein Hazrat Abi bin Kaab ki taraf khat likha jis mein unse ye masla daryaft kya Hazrat Abi bin Kaab ne jawab diya mein ne Hazrat Samra RA ki tasdeeq ki.
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ ، أَخْبَرَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ الطَّوِيلِ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، عَنْ سَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدُبٍ :" أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَتْ لَهُ سَكْتَتَانِ سَكْتَةٌ حِينَ يَفْتَتِحُ الصَّلَاةَ، وَسَكْتَةٌ إِذَا فَرَغَ مِنَ السُّورَةِ الثَّانِيَةِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَرْكَعَ" ، فَذُكِرَ ذَلِكَ لِعِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ فَقَالَ: كَذَبَ سَمُرَةُ، فَكَتَبَ فِي ذَلِكَ إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ إِلَى أُبَيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ ، فَقَالَ: صَدَقَ سَمُرَةُ.
