Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 20481
It is narrated from Abu Hurairah that a man asked in the court of the Prophet, "O Messenger of Allah, which man is the best?" The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) replied, "The one who lives long and whose deeds are the best." The questioner asked, "Who is the worst of men?" The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) replied, "The one who lives long and whose deeds are the worst."

حضرت ابوبکرہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک آدمی نے بارگاہ رسالت میں عرض کیا یا رسول اللہ کون سا انسان سب سے بہتر ہے نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا جس کی عمر لمبی ہو اور عمل سب سے اچھا ہو سائل نے پوچھا کہ سب سے بد ترین انسان کون ہے نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا جس کی عمر لمبی ہو اور اس کا عمل سب سے برا ہو۔
Hazrat Abu Bakra se marvi hai ki ek aadmi ne bargah risalat mein arz kiya Ya Rasul Allah kaun sa insan sab se behtar hai Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya jis ki umar lambi ho aur amal sab se achha ho sail ne poocha ki sab se bad tareen insan kaun hai Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya jis ki umar lambi ho aur us ka amal sab se bura ho.
حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، عَنْ يُونُسَ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ أَنَّ رَجُلًا قَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، أَيُّ النَّاسِ خَيْرٌ؟ قَالَ: " مَنْ طَالَ عُمْرُهُ وَحَسُنَ عَمَلُهُ"، قِيلَ: فَأَيُّ النَّاسِ شَرٌّ؟ قَالَ:" مَنْ طَالَ عُمْرُهُ وَسَاءَ عَمَلُهُ"
