Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 20559
Abdullah bin Mughaffal reported that his father, if he heard us reciting Bismillah aloud, would say, "Avoid it." Yazid said, "I have not seen any Companion of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, hating Bid'ah (innovation in religion) more than him. For I have prayed with the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and the three Caliphs after him, and I did not hear any of them reciting Bismillah aloud."

عبداللہ بن مغفل کہتے ہیں کہ میرے والد اگر ہمیں بلند آواز سے بسم اللہ پڑھتے ہوئے سنتے تو فرماتے اس سے اجتناب کرو۔ یزید کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے ان سے زیادہ نبی ﷺ کے کسی صحابی کو بدعت سے اتنی نفرت کرتے ہوئے نہیں دیکھا۔ کیونکہ میں نے نبی ﷺ اور تینوں خلفاء کے ساتھ نماز پڑھی ہے میں نے ان میں سے کسی کو بلند آواز سے بسم اللہ پڑھتے ہوئے نہیں سنا ہے۔
Abdullah bin Mughfal kehte hain ke mere walid agar hamen buland aawaz se Bismillah parhte hue sunte to farmate is se ijtinab karo. Yazid kehte hain ke mainne un se ziada Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke kisi sahabi ko bidat se itni nafrat karte hue nahin dekha. Kyunki mainne Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) aur teenon khulfa ke sath namaz parhi hai mainne un mein se kisi ko buland aawaz se Bismillah parhte hue nahin suna.
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ الْجُرَيْرِيِّ سَعِيدِ بْنِ إِيَاسٍ ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ عَبَايَةَ ، حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُغَفَّلٍ ، قَالَ: سَمِعَنِي أَبِي وَأَنَا أَقْرَأُ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ، فَلَمَّا انْصَرَفَ قَالَ: يَا بُنَيَّ، إِيَّاكَ وَالْحَدَثَ فِي الْإِسْلَامِ، فَإِنِّي صَلَّيْتُ خَلْفَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَخَلْفَ أَبِى بَكْرٍ، وَخَلْفَ عُمَرَ، وَعُثْمَانَ، فَكَانُوا لَا يَسْتَفْتِحُونَ الْقِرَاءَةَ بِ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ سورة الفاتحة آية 1"، وَلَمْ أَرَ رَجُلًا قَطُّ أَبْغَضَ إِلَيْهِ الْحَدَثُ مِنْهُ .
