The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 2195
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyidina Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) delayed the Isha prayer so much that the people slept twice and woke up. Then Sayyidina Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) came and submitted: O Messenger of Allah! The prayer. Upon this, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came out and led them in prayer. The narrator did not mention him performing ablution.

سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے ایک مرتبہ عشا کی نماز کو اتنا مؤخر کیا کہ لوگ دو مرتبہ سو کر بیدار ہوئے، پھر سیدنا عمر رضی اللہ عنہ نے آ کر عرض کیا: یا رسول اللہ! نماز، اس پر نبی ﷺ باہر تشریف لائے اور انہیں نماز پڑھائی، راوی نے ان کے وضو کرنے کا ذکر نہیں کیا۔
Sayyidna Ibn Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne ek martaba Isha ki namaz ko itna moakhir kya ki log do martaba so kar bedar hue, phir Sayyidna Umar (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ne aa kar arz kiya: Ya Rasulullah! Namaz, is par Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) bahar tashreef laaye aur unhen namaz parhayi, ravi ne unke wuzu karne ka zikr nahin kiya.
حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ ، وَعَفَّانُ , قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، قَالَ عَفَّانُ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَيُّوبُ، وَقَيْسٌ , عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" أَخَّرَ الْعِشَاءَ ذَاتَ لَيْلَةٍ حَتَّى نَامَ الْقَوْمُ، ثُمَّ اسْتَيْقَظُوا، ثُمَّ نَامُوا، ثُمَّ اسْتَيْقَظُوا، قَالَ قَيْسٌ: فَجَاءَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ، فَقَالَ: الصَّلَاةَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ , قَالَ: فَخَرَجَ فَصَلَّى بِهِمْ، وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ أَنَّهُمْ تَوَضَّئُوا".
