The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 2194
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) once fell asleep and his snoring began. Then he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) stood up, offered prayer, and did not perform ablution. 'Ikrimah said that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was protected from breaking his ablution even while he was asleep.

سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ ایک مرتبہ سو گئے تو آپ ﷺ کے خراٹوں کی آواز آنے لگی، پھر آپ ﷺ نے کھڑے ہو کر نماز پڑھا دی اور وضو نہیں فرمایا۔ عکرمہ کہتے ہیں کہ نبی ﷺ نیند کی حالت میں بھی وضو ٹوٹنے سے محفوظ تھے۔
Sayyda Ibn Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ek martaba so gaye to aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke kharaton ki aawaz aane lagi, phir aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne kharay ho kar namaz parha di aur wazu nahin farmaya. Akarma kehte hain ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) neend ki halat mein bhi wazu tutne se mahfooz thay.
حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ ، وَأَيُّوبَ , عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" نَامَ حَتَّى سُمِعَ لَهُ غَطِيطٌ، فَقَامَ فَصَلَّى، وَلَمْ يَتَوَضَّأْ" , فَقَالَ عِكْرِمَةُ: كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَحْفُوظًا.
