The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)

حَمَّادٍ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَلَمَةَ حماد بن سلمة البصري تغير حفظه قليلا بآخره, ثقة عابد
يُونُسُ يونس بن محمد المؤدب ثقة ثبت

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 2205

Narrated by Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him), the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Once, Gabriel (peace be upon him) said to me, 'You have been granted the love of prayer, so pray as much as you wish'."


Grade: Da'if

سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا: ”ایک مرتبہ مجھ سے جبرئیل علیہ السلام نے کہا کہ آپ کو نماز کی محبت عطاء کی گئی ہے، اس لئے اسے جتنا چاہیں اختیار کریں۔“

Sayyidna Ibn Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai keh Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne irshad farmaya: ”Ek martaba mujh se Jibraeel Alaihissalam ne kaha keh aap ko namaz ki muhabbat ata ki gai hai, is liye ise jitna chahen ikhtiyar karen.“.

حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ ، عَنْ حَمَّادٍ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ يُوسُفَ بْنِ مِهْرَانَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ:" قَالَ لِي جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام: إِنَّهُ قَدْ حُبِّبَ إِلَيْكَ الصَّلَاةُ، فَخُذْ مِنْهَا مَا شِئْتَ".
