Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 22700
It is narrated on the authority of Ubada (may Allah be pleased with him) that we pledged allegiance to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) on the condition that we would listen to him and obey him in all circumstances, whether in hardship or ease, in times of strength or weakness. And that we would not dispute with the one who is rightfully entitled in any matter, and that we would speak the truth wherever we are and would not fear the blame of anyone in the matter of Allah.

حضرت عبادہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ہم لوگوں نے نبی ﷺ سے ہر تنگی اور آسانی اور چستی و سستی سے ہر حال میں بات سننے اور ماننے کی شرط پر بیعت کی تھی، نیز یہ کہ کسی معاملے میں اس کے حقدار سے جھگڑا نہیں کریں گے، جہاں بھی ہوں گے حق بات کہیں گے اور اللہ کے معاملے میں کسی ملامت کی پرواہ نہیں کریں گے۔
Hazrat Ubadah raziallahu anhu se marvi hai ki hum logon ne Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se har tangi aur asani aur chasti o susti se har haal mein baat sunne aur manne ki shart par bai't ki thi, niz yeh ki kisi mamle mein iske haqdar se jhagda nahin karenge, jahan bhi honge haq baat kahenge aur Allah ke mamle mein kisi malamat ki parwah nahin karenge.
حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ ، حَدَّثَنِي عُبَادَةُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ الْوَلِيدِ ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ وَكَانَ أَحَدَ النُّقَبَاءِ، قَالَ: " بَايَعْنَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَيْعَةَ الْحَرْبِ، وَكَانَ عُبَادَةُ مِنَ الِاثْنَيْ عَشَرَ الَّذِينَ بَايَعُوا فِي الْعَقَبَةِ الْأُولَى عَلَى بَيْعَةِ النِّسَاءِ: فِي السَّمْعِ وَالطَّاعَةِ فِي عُسْرِنَا وَيُسْرِنَا، وَمَنْشَطِنَا وَمَكْرَهِنَا، وَلَا نُنَازِعُ فِي الْأَمْرِ أَهْلَهُ، وَأَنْ نَقُولَ بِالْحَقِّ حَيْثُمَا كُنَّا لَا نَخَافُ فِي اللَّهِ لَوْمَةَ لَائِمٍ" .
