Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 23716
Abu Usman said: Once I was with Salman al-Farsi (may Allah be pleased with him) under a tree. He took hold of a dry branch of it and shook it, and its leaves began to fall. Then he said, "O Abu Usman! Why don't you ask me why I did that?" I said, "Why did you do that?" He said, "Once I was with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) under a tree, and the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) did the same to me, and the same question and answer took place, after which the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, 'When a Muslim performs ablution well and prays the five prayers, his sins fall away just as these leaves are falling.'"

ابو عثمان کہتے ہیں کہ ایک مرتبہ میں حضرت سلمان فارسی رضی اللہ عنہ کے ساتھ ایک درخت کے نیچے تھا انہوں نے اس کی ایک خشک ٹہنی کو پکڑ کر اسے ہلایا تو اس کے پتے گرنے لگے پھر انہوں نے فرمایا کہ اے ابو عثمان! تم مجھ سے یہ کیوں نہیں پوچھتے کہ میں نے ایسا کیوں کیا؟ میں نے کہا کہ آپ نے ایسا کیوں کیا؟ انہوں نے فرمایا کہ ایک مرتبہ میں نبی کریم ﷺ کے ساتھ ایک درخت کے نیچے تھا تو نبی کریم ﷺ نے میرے ساتھ بھی اسی طرح کیا تھا اور یہی سوال جواب ہوئے تھے جس کے بعد نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا تھا کہ جب کوئی مسلمان خوب اچھی طرح وضو کرے اور پانچوں نمازیں پڑھے تو اس کے گناہ اسی طرح جھڑ جاتے ہیں جیسے یہ پتے جھڑ رہے ہیں۔
Abu Usman kehte hain ke ek martaba main Hazrat Salman Farsi (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ke sath ek darakht ke neeche tha unhon ne uski ek khushk tehni ko pakar kar use hilaya to uske patte girne lage phir unhon ne farmaya ke aye Abu Usman! tum mujh se ye kyun nahin poochte ke maine aisa kyun kiya? maine kaha ke aap ne aisa kyun kiya? unhon ne farmaya ke ek martaba main Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke sath ek darakht ke neeche tha to Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne mere sath bhi isi tarah kiya tha aur yehi sawal jawab hue the jis ke baad Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya tha ke jab koi Musalman khoob achhi tarah wuzu kare aur panchon namazain padhe to uske gunah isi tarah jhad jate hain jaise ye patte jhad rahe hain.
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ ، أَخْبَرَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ النَّهْدِيِّ ، قَالَ: كُنَّا مَعَ سَلْمَانَ تَحْتَ شَجَرَةٍ فَأَخَذَ غُصْنًا مِنْهَا فَنَفَضَهُ، فَتَسَاقَطَ وَرَقُهُ، فَقَالَ: أَلَا تَسْأَلُونِي عَمَّا صَنَعْتُ؟ فَقُلْنَا: أَخْبِرْنَا، فَقَالَ: كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي ظِلِّ شَجَرَةٍ، فَأَخَذَ غُصْنًا مِنْهَا فَنَفَضَهُ فَتَسَاقَطَ وَرَقُهُ، فَقَالَ:" أَلَا تَسْأَلُونِي عَمَّا صَنَعْتُ؟" فَقُلْنَا: أَخْبِرْنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، فَقَالَ: " إِنَّ الْعَبْدَ الْمُسْلِمَ إِذَا قَامَ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ، تَحَاتَّتْ عَنْهُ خَطَايَاهُ كَمَا تَحَاتَّ وَرَقُ هَذِهِ الشَّجَرَةِ" .
