Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 23730
It is narrated on the authority of Salman (may Allah be pleased with him) that I agreed to a contract of manumission with my master on the condition that I plant five hundred date palm trees for him. When they bear fruit, I would be free. I went to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and mentioned this condition. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Accept this condition and when you intend to plant them, inform me." So, I informed the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came and started planting the saplings with his own hands, except for one sapling which I planted with my own hand. All the saplings bore fruit except that one.

حضرت سلمان رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ میں نے اپنے آقا سے اس شرط پر مکاتبت منظور کرلی کہ میں ان کے لئے کھجور کے پانچ سو پودے لگاؤں گا جب ان پر کھجور آجائے گی تو میں آزاد ہوجاؤں گا میں نبی کریم ﷺ کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوا اور یہ شرط ذکر کی نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا تم یہ شرط قبول کرلو اور جب پودے لگانے کا ارادہ ہو تو مجھے مطلع کرنا چناچہ میں نے نبی کریم ﷺ کو بتادیا نبی کریم ﷺ تشریف لائے اور اپنے ہاتھ سے پودے لگانے لگے سوائے ایک پودے کے جو میں نے اپنے ہاتھ سے لگایا تھا اور اس ایک پودے کے علاوہ سب پودے پھل لے آئے۔
Hazrat Salman (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki maine apne aqa se is shart par mukatabat manzoor karli ki main un ke liye khajoor ke panch sau poday lagaun ga jab un par khajoor ajaye gi to main azad hojaun ga main Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki khidmat mein hazir hua aur ye shart zikar ki Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya tum ye shart qubool karlo aur jab poday lagane ka irada ho to mujhe mutala karna chunancha maine Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko bataya Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) tashreef laye aur apne hath se poday lagane lage siwaye ek poday ke jo maine apne hath se lagaya tha aur is ek poday ke ilawa sab poday phal le aye.
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، أَنْبَأَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ النَّهْدِيِّ ، عَنْ سَلْمَانَ ، قَالَ: كَاتَبْتُ أَهْلِي عَلَى أَنْ أَغْرِسَ لَهُمْ خَمْسَ مِائَةِ فَسِيلَةٍ، فَإِذَا عَلِقَتْ فَأَنَا حُرٌّ، قَالَ: فَأَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لَهُ، قَالَ: " اغْرِسْ وَاشْتَرِطْ لَهُمْ، فَإِذَا أَرَدْتَ أَنْ تَغْرِسَ فَآذِنِّي" قَالَ: فَآذَنْتُهُ، قَالَ: فَجَاءَ، فَجَعَلَ يَغْرِسُ بِيَدِهِ إِلَّا وَاحِدَةً غَرَسْتُهَا بِيَدَيَّ، فَعَلِقْنَ إِلَّا الْوَاحِدَةَ .
