Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 2388
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyidina Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “When your brothers were martyred on the occasion of the Battle of Uhud, Allah, the Exalted, placed their souls in the bellies of green birds that descend upon the rivers of Paradise, eat of its fruits, and reside in lamps of gold beneath the shade of the Throne. When they witnessed the excellence of their food and drink, and such a splendid place for rest, they said, ‘If only our brothers knew what Allah has prepared for us, they would never hesitate from Jihad nor turn back from battle.’ So Allah, the Exalted, said, ‘I shall convey your message to them.’ Thus, Allah, the Exalted, revealed to His Prophet these verses of Surah Al-Imran: "And do not consider those who are killed in the way of Allah as dead, but rather they are alive with their Lord, being provided for." (Al-Imran: 169)

سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا: ”جب غزوہ احد کے موقع پر تمہارے بھائی شہید ہوئے تو اللہ تعالیٰ نے ان کی ارواح کو سبز رنگ کے پرندوں کے پیٹوں میں رکھ دیا جو جنت کی نہروں پر اترتے، اس کے پھلوں کو کھاتے اور عرش کے سائے میں سونے کی قندیلوں میں رہتے تھے، جب انہوں نے اپنے کھانے پینے کی چیزوں کی یہ عمدگی، اور آرام کے لئے ایسا بہترین ٹھکانہ دیکھا تو وہ کہنے لگے کہ کاش! ہمارے بھائیوں کو بھی کسی طریقے سے پتہ چل جاتا کہ اللہ تعالیٰ نے ہمارے لئے کیا کچھ تیار کر رکھا ہے، تاکہ وہ بھی جہاد سے بےرغبتی نہ کریں اور لڑائی سے منہ نہ پھیریں، اللہ تعالیٰ نے فرمایا کہ ”تمہارا یہ پیغام ان تک میں پہنچاؤں گا“، چنانچہ اللہ تعالیٰ نے اپنے پیغمبر پر سورہ آل عمران کی یہ آیات نازل فرما دیں: «﴿وَلَا تَحْسَبَنَّ الَّذِينَ قُتِلُوا فِي سَبِيلِ اللّٰهِ أَمْوَاتًا بَلْ أَحْيَاءٌ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ يُرْزَقُونَ﴾ [آل عمران: 169] » ۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Abbas razi Allah anhuma se marvi hai ki Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne irshad farmaya: "Jab Ghazwah Uhud ke mauqe par tumhare bhai shaheed hue to Allah ta'ala ne un ki arwah ko sabz rang ke parindon ke peton mein rakh diya jo jannat ki nahron par utarte, us ke phalon ko khate aur arsh ke saaye mein sone ki qandilon mein rahte the, jab unhon ne apne khane pine ki chizon ki ye umdagi, aur aaram ke liye aisa behtarin thikana dekha to wo kahne lage ki kash! hamare bhaiyon ko bhi kisi tariqe se pata chal jata ki Allah ta'ala ne hamare liye kya kuchh taiyar kar rakha hai, taaki wo bhi jihad se be-ragbati na karen aur larai se munh na pheren, Allah ta'ala ne farmaya ki "tumhara ye paigham un tak mein pahunchaunga", chunanchi Allah ta'ala ne apne paigambar par Surah Al-Imran ki ye ayat nazil farma din: «﴿wala tahsabanna allatheena qutiloo fee sabeeli allahi amwatan bal ahyaon AAinda rabbihim yurzaqoon﴾ [Al-Imran: 169] ».".
حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ ، حَدَّثَنِي إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أُمَيَّةَ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ الْمَكِّيِّ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" لَمَّا أُصِيبَ إِخْوَانُكُمْ بِأُحُدٍ، جَعَلَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ أَرْوَاحَهُمْ فِي أَجْوَافِ طَيْرٍ خُضْرٍ تَرِدُ أَنْهَارَ الْجَنَّةِ، تَأْكُلُ مِنْ ثِمَارِهَا، وَتَأْوِي إِلَى قَنَادِيلَ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ فِي ظِلِّ الْعَرْشِ، فَلَمَّا وَجَدُوا طِيبَ مَشْرَبِهِمْ وَمَأْكَلِهِمْ، وَحُسْنَ مُنْقَلَبِهِمْ، قَالُوا: يَا لَيْتَ إِخْوَانَنَا يَعْلَمُونَ بِمَا صَنَعَ اللَّهُ لَنَا، لِئَلَّا يَزْهَدُوا فِي الْجِهَادِ، وَلَا يَنْكُلُوا عَنِ الْحَرْبِ، فَقَالَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ:" أَنَا أُبَلِّغُهُمْ عَنْكُمْ" , فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ هَؤُلَاءِ الْآيَاتِ عَلَى رَسُولِهِ وَلا تَحْسَبَنَّ الَّذِينَ قُتِلُوا سورة آل عمران آية 169.
