The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 2391
Narrated by Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him), that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) walked with his companions (may Allah be pleased with them) to Baqi' al-Gharqad, then turned to them and said: “Go in the name of Allah”, and said: "O Allah, help them." Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) meant by this those whom the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had sent towards the Kaaba.

سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ اپنے صحابہ رضی اللہ عنہم کے ساتھ بقیع غرقد تک پیدل چل کر گئے، پھر ان کی طرف متوجہ ہو کر فرمایا: ”اللہ کا نام لے کر روانہ ہو جاؤ“، اور فرمایا: ”اے اللہ! ان کی مدد فرما۔“ سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما کی مراد اس سے وہ لوگ تھے جنہیں نبی ﷺ نے کعب بن اشرف کی طرف بھیجا تھا۔
Sayyidna Ibn Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) apne Sahaba (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ke sath Baqi Gharqad tak paidal chal kar gaye, phir un ki taraf mutawajjah ho kar farmaya: “Allah ka naam lekar rawana ho jao”, aur farmaya: “Aye Allah! In ki madad farma.” Sayyidna Ibn Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a ki murad is se woh log thay jinhen Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne Kaaba bin Ashraf ki taraf bheja tha.
حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ ، حَدَّثَنِي ثَوْرُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ: مَشَى مَعَهُمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَى بَقِيعِ الْغَرْقَدِ، ثُمَّ وَجَّهَهُمْ، وَقَالَ:" انْطَلِقُوا عَلَى اسْمِ اللَّهِ" , وقال:" اللَّهُمَّ أَعِنْهُمْ" , يَعْنِي: النَّفَرَ الَّذِينَ وَجَّهَهُمْ إِلَى كَعْبِ بْنِ الْأَشْرَفِ.
