Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 26346
'Urwa narrates that once Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said to him, "The people were terrified, and we thought that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was suffering from "Dhat-ul-Janb" (pleurisy). But the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, 'You think that Allah has afflicted me with this disease, whereas Allah will never inflict it upon me.' It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to say, 'When the time of death approaches a Prophet, after his soul is seized, he is shown his reward and then given the choice to either return to it (i.e., to be reunited with Allah) or to be sent back (to the world).' When the time of the Prophet's (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) death approached, the last words I heard from his mouth were, 'With the highest companion in Paradise.' I remembered what the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had said, and I understood that now the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would not choose us over it."

عروہ کہتے ہیں کہ ایک مرتبہ حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے ان سے فرمایا لوگ بھی خوفزدہ ہوگئے اور ہمارے خیال کے مطابق نبی ﷺ کو " ذات الجنب " کی شکایت تھی، لیکن نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا تمہارا خیال یہ ہے کہ اللہ نے مجھ پر اس بیماری کو مسلط کیا ہے، حالانکہ اللہ اسے مجھ پر کبھی بھی مسلط نہیں کرے گا۔ حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا کرتے تھے جس نبی ﷺ کو روح قبض ہونے کا وقت آتا تھا، ان کی روح قبض ہونے کے بعد انہیں ان کا ثواب دکھایا جاتا تھا پھر واپس لوٹا کر انہیں اس بات کا اختیار دیا جاتا تھا کہ انہیں اس ثواب کی طرف لوٹا کر ملا دیا جائے (یا دنیا میں بھیج دیا جائے) نبی ﷺ کا وقت وصال جب قریب آیا تو میں نے ان کے منہ سے آخری کلمہ جو سنا وہ یہ تھا " رفیق اعلیٰ کے ساتھ جنت میں " مجھے وہ بات یاد آگئی جو نبی ﷺ نے فرمائی تھی اور میں سمجھ گئی کہ اب نبی ﷺ کسی صورت ہمیں ترجیح نہ دیں گے۔
Urwa kahte hain ke ek martaba Hazrat Ayesha ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ا) ne unse farmaya log bhi khaufzada hogaye aur humare khayal ke mutabiq Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko "Zaat-ul-Janb" ki shikayat thi, lekin Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya tumhara khayal ye hai ke Allah ne mujh par is bimari ko musallat kiya hai, halanke Allah ise mujh par kabhi bhi musallat nahi karega. Hazrat Ayesha ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ا) se marvi hai ke Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya karte the jis Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko rooh qabz hone ka waqt aata tha, unki rooh qabz hone ke bad unhen un ka sawab dikhayi jata tha phir wapas luta kar unhen is baat ka ikhtiyar diya jata tha ke unhen is sawab ki taraf luta kar mila diya jaye (ya duniya mein bhej diya jaye) Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ka waqt wisal jab qareeb aaya to main ne unke munh se aakhri kalma jo suna wo ye tha "Rafiq-e-Aala ke sath Jannat mein" mujhe wo baat yaad aa gayi jo Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaayi thi aur main samajh gayi ke ab Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) kisi surat hamen tarjeeh na denge.
حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ , قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي , عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ , قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ , عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ , أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ حَدَّثَتْهُ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ حِينَ قَالُوا: " خَشِينَا أَنْ يَكُونَ بِهِ ذَاتُ الْجَنْبِ , إِنَّهَا مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ وَلَمْ يَكُنْ اللَّهُ لِيُسَلِّطَهُ عَلَيَّ" : قَالَ قَالَ ابْنُ إِسْحَاقَ : قَالَ ابْنُ شِهَابٍ : حَدَّثَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ , عَنْ عَائِشَةَ , قَالَتْ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَثِيرًا مَا أَسْمَعُهُ يَقُولُ: " إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَمْ يَقْبِضْ نَبِيًّا حَتَّى يُخَيِّرَهُ" قَالَتْ: فَلَمَّا حُضِرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ آخِرُ كَلِمَةٍ سَمِعْتُهَا مِنْهُ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ:" بَلْ الرَّفِيقُ الْأَعْلَى مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ" قَالَتْ: قُلْتُ: إِذًا وَاللَّهِ لَا يَخْتَارُنَا , وَقَدْ عَرَفْتُ أَنَّهُ الَّذِي كَانَ يَقُولُ لَنَا:" إِنَّ نَبِيًّا لَا يُقْبَضُ حَتَّى يُخَيَّرَ" .
