The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 2648
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man asked the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): "O Messenger of Allah! I have shaved my head before sacrificing the animal." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) gestured with his hand, saying, "There is no harm." Then another man submitted: "O Messenger of Allah! I have sacrificed the animal before stoning (the Jamarat)." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) gestured with his hand, saying, "There is no harm." On that day, whatever question was asked to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) regarding doing an act before or after its due time, you (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) replied by gesturing with your hand, "There is no harm."

سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ کسی شخص نے نبی ﷺ سے سوال کیا: یا رسول اللہ ﷺ ! میں نے قربانی سے پہلے حلق کر لیا ہے؟ نبی ﷺ نے ہاتھ کے اشارے سے فرما دیا کہ ”کوئی حرج نہیں“، پھر ایک اور آدمی نے عرض کیا: یا رسول اللہ ﷺ ! میں نے رمی سے پہلے قربانی کر لی ہے؟ نبی ﷺ نے ہاتھ کے اشارے سے فرما دیا کہ ”کوئی حرج نہیں“، اس دن تقدیم و تاخیر کے حوالے سے نبی ﷺ سے جو سوال بھی پوچھا گیا تو آپ ﷺ نے ہاتھ کے اشارے سے فرما دیا: ”کوئی حرج نہیں۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki kisi shakhs ne Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se sawal kiya: Ya Rasulullah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)! maine qurbani se pehle halq kar liya hai? Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne hath ke ishare se farma diya ki “koi harj nahi”, phir ek aur aadmi ne arz kiya: Ya Rasulullah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)! maine rami se pehle qurbani kar li hai? Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne hath ke ishare se farma diya ki “koi harj nahi”, us din taqdeem o takheer ke hawale se Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se jo sawal bhi pucha gaya to aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne hath ke ishare se farma diya: “koi harj nahi.”
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سُئِلَ فِي حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ، فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، حَلَقْتُ قَبْلَ أَنْ أَذْبَحَ , قَالَ: فَأَوْمَأَ بِيَدِهِ، وَقَالَ:" لَا حَرَجَ" , وَقَالَ رَجُلٌ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، ذَبَحْتُ قَبْلَ أَنْ أَرْمِيَ , قَالَ: فَأَوْمَأَ بِيَدِهِ، وَقَالَ:" لَا حَرَجَ" , قَالَ: فَمَا سُئِلَ يَوْمَئِذٍ عَنْ شَيْءٍ مِنَ التَّقْدِيمِ وَالتَّأْخِيرِ، إِلَّا أَوْمَأَ بِيَدِهِ، وَقَالَ:" لَا حَرَجَ".
