The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 2760
Narrated by Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him), he said: I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) once praying in a garment - he wrapped himself well in it - and he was protecting himself from the heat and coldness of the ground with its extra fabric.

سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ میں نے دیکھا کہ نبی ﷺ نے ایک کپڑے میں - اسے اچھی طرح لپیٹ کر - نماز پڑھی، اور اس کے زائد حصے کے ذریعے زمین کی گرمی سردی سے اپنے آپ کو بچانے لگے۔
Sayyidna Ibn Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai keh ek martaba maine dekha keh Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne ek kapre mein - ise acchi tarah lapet kar - namaz parha, aur iske zaid hisse ke zariye zameen ki garmi sardi se apne aap ko bachane lage.
حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ ، حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ ، عَنْ حُسَيْنٍ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ: رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ" يُصَلِّي فِي ثَوْبٍ وَاحِدٍ مُتَوَشِّحًا بِهِ، يَتَّقِي بِفُضُولِهِ بَرْدَ الْأَرْضِ وَحَرَّهَا".
