The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 2859
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him and his father) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Some poetry is filled with wisdom, and some speech has the effect of magic."
Grade: Sahih
سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا: ”بعض اشعار دانائی سے بھر پور ہوتے ہیں، اور بعض بیان جادو کا سا اثر رکھتے ہیں۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne irshad farmaya: "baz ash'ar danai se bharpoor hote hain, aur baz bayan jadu ka sa asar rakhte hain."
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" إِنَّ مِنَ الشِّعْرِ حُكْمًا، وَإِنَّ مِنَ الْبَيَانِ سِحْرًا".
