The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 2860
Narrated by Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him), the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Give the inheritance to those who are entitled to it. After all the rightful heirs have received their shares, any remaining property should be given to the closest male relative of the deceased (known as 'Asaba in the science of inheritance)."

سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا: ”وراثت کے حصے ان کے مستحقین تک پہنچا دیا کرو، سب کو ان کے حصے مل چکنے کے بعد جو مال باقی بچے وہ میت کے اس سب سے قریبی رشتہ دار کو دے دیا جائے جو مذکر ہو (علم الفرائض کی اصطلاح میں جسے عصبہ کہتے ہیں)۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne irshad farmaya: "Wirasat ke hisse un ke mustahiqeen tak pohancha diya karo, sab ko un ke hisse mil chukne ke baad jo maal baqi bache woh mayyat ke us sab se qareebi rishtedar ko de diya jaye jo muzakkar ho (ilm ul faraiz ki istilah mein jise asaba kahte hain)"
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنِ ابْنِ طَاوُسٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" اقْسِمُوا الْمَالَ بَيْنَ أَهْلِ الْفَرَائِضِ عَلَى كِتَابِ اللَّهِ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى، فَمَا تَرَكَتْ الْفَرَائِضُ فَلِأَوْلَى ذَكَرٍ".
