The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 2938
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) offered prayer wrapped properly in a cloth and used its extra fabric to protect himself from the heat and cold of the ground.

سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ نبی ﷺ نے ایک کپڑے میں - اسے اچھی طرح لپیٹ کر - نماز پڑھی اور اس کے زائد حصے کے ذریعے زمین کی گرمی سردی سے اپنے آپ کو بچانے لگے۔
Sayyidna Ibn Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki ek martaba Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne ek kapre mein - ise achchi tarah lapet kar - namaz parhi aur iske zaid hisse ke zariye zameen ki garmi sardi se apne aap ko bachane lage.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النَّضْرِ ، حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ ، عَنْ حُسَيْنٍ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ:" كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي فِي ثَوْبٍ مُتَوَشِّحًا بِهِ، يَتَّقِي بِفُضُولِهِ حَرَّ الْأَرْضِ وَبَرْدَهَا".
