The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 3308
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyidina Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the name of Sayyida Juwayriyah (may Allah be pleased with her) was Barrah. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) changed her name to Juwayriyah. The narrator says that once the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came out after prayer and came to Sayyida Juwayriyah (may Allah be pleased with her). Sayyida Juwayriyah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)! I have been sitting here ever since you left." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to her: "After I left you, I recited a few words which, if weighed, would outweigh all your tasbihat (glorifications). And those words are: 'Subhana-Allahi 'adada khalqihi, wa subhana-Allahi rida nafsihi, wa subhana-Allahi zinata 'arshihi, wa subhana-Allahi midada kalimatihi, walhamdu lillahi mithla dhalik" (Glory be to Allah, as many times as the number of His creation, and glory be to Allah, to the extent of His pleasure, and glory be to Allah, to the weight of His Throne, and glory be to Allah, to the extent of His words, and all praise is for Allah, like that).'"

سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ سیدہ جویریہ رضی اللہ عنہا کا نام برہ تھا، نبی ﷺ نے اس نام کو بدل کر جویریہ رکھ دیا، راوی کہتے ہیں کہ ایک مرتبہ نبی ﷺ نماز کے بعد نکلے اور سیدہ جویریہ رضی اللہ عنہا کے پاس آئے، سیدہ جویریہ رضی اللہ عنہا کہنے لگیں: یا رسول اللہ ﷺ ! آپ کے جانے کے بعد میں مستقل یہیں پر بیٹھی رہی ہوں، نبی ﷺ نے ان سے فرمایا: ”میں نے تمہارے پاس سے جانے کے بعد چند کلمات ایسے کہے ہیں کہ اگر وزن کیا جائے تو تمہاری تمام تسبیحات سے ان کا وزن زیادہ نکلے اور وہ کلمات یہ ہیں: «سُبْحَانَ اللّٰهِ عَدَدَ خَلْقِهِ وَسُبْحَانَ اللّٰهِ رِضَاءَ نَفْسِهِ وَسُبْحَانَ اللّٰهِ زِنَةَ عَرْشِهِ وَسُبْحَانَ اللّٰهِ مِدَادَ كَلِمَاتِهِ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ مِثْلُ ذَلِكَ» ۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Sayyida Juwairiyah ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ا) ka naam Barrah tha, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne is naam ko badal kar Juwairiyah rakh diya, ravi kehte hain ki ek martaba Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) namaz ke baad nikle aur Sayyida Juwairiyah ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ا) ke paas aaye, Sayyida Juwairiyah ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ا) kehne lagi: Ya Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)! Aap ke jaane ke baad main mustaqil yaheen par baithi rahi hun, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne un se farmaya: "Main ne tumhare paas se jaane ke baad chand kalmaat aise kahe hain ki agar wazan kiya jaye to tumhari tamam tasbeehat se in ka wazan zyada nikle aur wo kalmaat ye hain: «Subhana Allahi adada khalqihi wa subhana Allahi rida nafsihi wa subhana Allahi zinata arshihi wa subhana Allahi midada kalimatihi walhamdu lillahi mithl zalik»."
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ ، أَخْبَرَنَا الْمَسْعُودِيُّ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ مَوْلَى بَنِي طَلْحَةَ، عَنْ كُرَيْبٍ مَوْلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ: كَانَ اسْمُ جُوَيْرِيَةَ بِنْتِ الْحَارِثِ بَرَّةَ، فَحَوَّلَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ اسْمَهَا، فَسَمَّاهَا جُوَيْرِيَةَ، فَمَرَّ بِهَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَإِذَا هِيَ فِي مُصَلَّاهَا تُسَبِّحُ اللَّهَ وَتَدْعُوهُ، فَانْطَلَقَ لِحَاجَتِهِ، ثُمَّ رَجَعَ إِلَيْهَا بَعْدَ مَا ارْتَفَعَ النَّهَارُ، فَقَالَ:" يَا جُوَيْرِيَةُ، مَا زِلْتِ فِي مَكَانِكِ؟!" قَالَتْ: مَا زِلْتُ فِي مَكَانِي هَذَا. فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" لَقَدْ تَكَلَّمْتُ بِأَرْبَعِ كَلِمَاتٍ، أَعُدُّهُنَّ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ، هُنَّ أَفْضَلُ مِمَّا قُلْتِ: سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ عَدَدَ خَلْقِهِ، وَسُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ رِضَاءَ نَفْسِهِ، وَسُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ زِنَةَ عَرْشِهِ، وَسُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ مِدَادَ كَلِمَاتِهِ، وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ مِثْلُ ذَلِكَ".
