The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)
مُسْنَدُ عَبْدِ اللّٰهِ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ رَضِيَ اللّٰهُ عَنْهُمَا

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 3318
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had a kohl case, from which he (peace and blessings be upon him) would apply kohl (called 'Ithmid) at bedtime (daily). He (peace and blessings be upon him) would apply three lines of kohl in each eye.

سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ کے پاس ایک سرمہ دانی تھی، جس سے آپ ﷺ (روزانہ) سوتے وقت (اثمد نامی) سرمہ لگایا کرتے تھے، آپ ﷺ ہر آنکھ میں تین سلائی سرمہ لگاتے تھے۔
Sayyidna Ibn Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke paas ek surma daani thi, jis se aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) (rozana) sote waqt (ismad nami) surma lagaya karte the, aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) har aankh mein teen salai surma lagaate the.
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبَّادُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ:" كَانَتْ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مُكْحُلَةٌ، يَكْتَحِلُ بِهَا عِنْدَ النَّوْمِ ثَلَاثًا فِي كُلِّ عَيْنٍ".
