Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 3824
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyidina Ibn Masud (may Allah be pleased with him) that during the Battle of Badr, I approached Abu Jahl who was lying wounded, his leg severed. I started striking him with my sword, but it had no effect. I continued to strike him repeatedly until I finally killed him with my sword. Then, I went to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and informed him that Abu Jahl had been killed. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked, "Did you see it yourself?" I replied, "Yes." This question and answer were exchanged twice, after which you (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Come with me, so that I may also see." So, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) went to his corpse, which had started to decompose due to the heat of the sun. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Drag him and his companions and throw them into the well." Curses were invoked on those in the well, one after another. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) then said, "This was the Pharaoh of this Ummah."

سیدنا ابن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ میں غزوہ بدر میں ابوجہل کے پاس پہنچا تو وہ زخمی پڑا ہوا تھا اور اس کی ٹانگ کٹ چکی تھی، میں اسے اپنی تلوار سے مارنے لگا لیکن تلوار نے اس پر کچھ اثر نہ کیا، میں اسے مسلسل تلوار مارتا رہا یہاں تک کہ میں نے اپنی تلوار سے اسے قتل کر دیا، پھر میں نبی ﷺ کے پاس آیا اور عرض کیا کہ ابوجہل مارا گیا، نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”کیا تم نے خود اسے دیکھا ہے؟“ میں نے عرض کیا: جی ہاں، دو مرتبہ اسی طرح سوال و جواب ہوئے پھر آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”میرے ساتھ چلو تاکہ میں بھی دیکھوں“، چنانچہ نبی ﷺ اس کی لاش کے پاس تشریف لائے، سورج کی تمازت کی وجہ سے اس کی لاش سڑنے لگی تھی، نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”اسے اور اس کے ساتھیوں کو کھینچ کر کنوئیں میں ڈال دو“، اور ان کنوئیں والوں کے پیچھے پیچھے لعنت کو لگا دیا گیا، نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”یہ اس امت کا فرعون تھا۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Masood (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki main Ghazwah Badr mein Abu Jahl ke paas pahuncha to woh zakhmi para hua tha aur uski taang kat chuki thi, main use apni talwar se marne laga lekin talwar ne us par kuch asar na kiya, main use musalsal talwar marta raha yahan tak ki maine apni talwar se use qatal kar diya, phir main Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke paas aaya aur arz kiya ki Abu Jahl mara gaya, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: "Kya tumne khud use dekha hai?" maine arz kiya: "Ji haan", do martaba isi tarah sawal o jawab hue phir aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: "Mere saath chalo taake main bhi dekhon", chunancha Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) us ki laash ke paas tashrif laaye, sooraj ki tmazat ki wajah se uski laash sadne lagi thi, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: "Use aur uske saathiyon ko khench kar kunwain mein daal do", aur un kunwain walon ke peeche peeche laanat ko laga diya gaya, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: "Yeh is ummat ka Firaun tha".
حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ: أَتَيْتُ أَبَا جَهْلٍ وَقَدْ جُرِحَ، وَقُطِعَتْ رِجْلُهُ، قَالَ: فَجَعَلْتُ أَضْرِبُهُ بِسَيْفِي، فَلَا يَعْمَلُ فِيهِ شَيْئًا قِيلَ لِشَرِيكٍ: فِي الْحَدِيثِ: وَكَانَ يَذُبُّ بِسَيْفِهِ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ، قَالَ: فَلَمْ أَزَلْ حَتَّى أَخَذْتُ سَيْفَهُ، فَضَرَبْتُهُ بِهِ، حَتَّى قَتَلْتُهُ، قَالَ: ثُمَّ أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقُلْتُ: قَدْ قُتِلَ أَبُو جَهْلٍ رُبَّمَا قَالَ شَرِيكٌ: قَدْ قَتَلْتُ أَبَا جَهْلٍ، قَالَ:" أَنْتَ رَأَيْتَهُ؟" قُلْتُ: نَعَمْ، قَالَ:" آللَّهِ" مَرَّتَيْنِ؟ قُلْتُ: نَعَمْ، قَالَ:" فَاذْهَبْ حَتَّى أَنْظُرَ إِلَيْهِ"، قال فَذَهَبَ، فَأَتَاهُ، وَقَدْ غَيَّرَتْ الشَّمْسُ مِنْهُ شَيْئًا، فَأَمَرَ بِهِ وَبِأَصْحَابِهِ، فَسُحِبُوا حَتَّى أُلْقُوا فِي الْقَلِيبِ، قَالَ: وَأُتْبِعَ أَهْلُ الْقَلِيبِ لَعْنَةً، وَقَالَ:" كَانَ هَذَا فِرْعَوْنَ هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةِ".
