Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 4541
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade the sale of dates on trees in exchange for cut dates at an estimated rate. Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said that Sayyiduna Zaid bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated to me this hadith that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) permitted the sale of 'Ara'ya with estimation.

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے کٹی ہوئی کھجور کے بدلے درختوں پر لگی ہوئی کھجور کو ایک معین اندازے سے بیچنے کی ممانعت فرمائی ہے، سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما فرماتے ہیں کہ سیدنا زید بن ثابت رضی اللہ عنہ نے مجھ سے یہ حدیث بیان کی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے اندازے کے ساتھ بیع عرایا کی اجازت دی ہے۔
Syedna Ibn Umar Radi Allaho Anhuma se marvi hai keh Nabi Kareem Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ne katti hoi khajoor ke badle darakhton par lagi hoi khajoor ko aik muayyan andazay se bechne ki mamanat farmai hai, Syedna Ibn Umar Radi Allaho Anhuma farmate hain keh Syedna Zaid bin Sabit Radi Allaho Anhu ne mujh se yeh hadees bayan ki hai keh Nabi Kareem Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ne andazay ke sath bai' arraayah ki ijazat di hai.
حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ" عَنْ بَيْعِ الثَّمَرِ بِالتَّمْرِ"، قَالَ سُفْيَانُ: كَذَا حَفِظْنَا الثَّمَرِ بِالتَّمْرِ، وَأَخْبَرَهُمْ زَيْدُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ: أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ" رَخَّصَ فِي الْعَرَايَا".
