Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 4542
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that I saw that whenever the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was in a hurry while traveling, he would combine Maghrib and Isha prayers.

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے میں نے دیکھا ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ کو جب چلنے میں جلدی ہوتی تو وہ مغرب اور عشاء کو جمع کر لیتے تھے۔

حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ" يَجْمَعُ بَيْنَ الْمَغْرِبِ وَالْعِشَاءِ إِذَا جَدَّ بِهِ السَّيْرُ".
