Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 4689
Sulaiman Maula Maimunah says: Once I came to see Abdullah ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) while he was in the thicket of trees and the people were praying in the mosque. I asked him, "Why are you not praying with the people?" He replied, "I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying, 'Do not pray one prayer twice in a day.'"

سلیمان مولیٰ میمونہ کہتے ہیں ایک مرتبہ میں سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کے پاس آیا اس وقت وہ درختوں کی جھاڑیوں میں تھے اور لوگ مسجد میں نماز پڑھ رہے تھے میں نے ان سے پوچھا کہ آپ لوگوں کے ساتھ نماز کیوں نہیں پڑھ رہے؟ انہوں نے فرمایا کہ میں نے نبی کریم ﷺ کو یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا ہے کہ ایک دن میں ایک ہی نماز کو دو مرتبہ نہ پڑھو۔

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ حُسَيْنٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي سُلَيْمَانُ مَوْلَى مَيْمُونَةَ، قَالَ: أَتَيْتُ عَلَى ابْنِ عُمَرَ وَهُوَ بِالْبَلَاطِ، وَالْقَوْمُ يُصَلُّونَ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ، قُلْتُ: مَا يَمْنَعُكَ أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ مَعَ النَّاسِ، أَوْ الْقَوْمِ؟ قَالَ إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ:" لَا تُصَلُّوا صَلَاةً فِي يَوْمٍ مَرَّتَيْنِ".
