Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 4835
Narrated by Sayyidina Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man asked the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): "O Messenger of Allah! What clothes can a Muhrim wear?" Or he asked: "What clothes should a Muhrim avoid?" The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) replied: "He cannot wear a shirt, trousers, a turban, or socks, unless he cannot find shoes. If a person cannot find shoes, then he should cut his socks below the ankles and wear them. Similarly, he cannot wear a cap or any cloth on which saffron or Wars (a type of plant) is applied."

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ ایک آدمی نے نبی کریم ﷺ سے پوچھا: یا رسول اللہ!! محرم کون سا لباس پہن سکتا ہے؟ یا یہ پوچھا کہ محرم کون سا لباس ترک کر دے؟ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”قمیض شلوار عمامہ اور موزے نہیں پہن سکتا، الاّ یہ کہ اسے جوتے نہ ملیں، جس شخص کو جوتے نہ ملیں اسے چاہئے کہ وہ موزوں کو ٹخنوں سے نیچے کاٹ کر پہن لے اسی طرح ٹوپی یا ایسا کپڑا جس پر ورس نامی گھاس یا زعفران لگی ہوئی ہو، وہ بھی محرم نہیں پہن سکتا۔“
Saina Ibne Umar Raziallahu Anhuma se marvi hai ki aik aadmi ne Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se poocha Ya Rasool Allah muhrim kaun sa libas pehan sakta hai ya ye poocha ki muhrim kaun sa libas tark kar de Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya qameez shalwar amama aur moze nahi pehan sakta illa ye ki use joote na milen jis shaks ko joote na milen use chahie ki wo mozon ko takhno se neeche kat kar pehan le isi tarah topi ya aisa kapda jis par wars nami ghas ya zaffran lagi hui ho wo bhi muhrim nahi pehan sakta
حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عَوْنٍ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ: نَادَى رَجُلٌ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَاذَا يَلْبَسُ الْمُحْرِمُ مِنَ الثِّيَابِ؟ فَقَالَ:" لَا تَلْبَسُوا الْقَمِيصَ وَلَا الْعِمَامَةَ، وَلَا الْبَرَانِسَ، وَلَا السَّرَاوِيلَاتِ، وَلَا الْخِفَافَ، إِلَّا أَنْ لَا تَكُونَ نِعَالٌ، فَإِنْ لَمْ تَكُنْ نِعَالٌ فَخُفَّيْنِ دُونَ الْكَعْبَيْنِ، وَلَا ثَوْبًا مَسَّهُ وَرْسٌ"، قَالَ ابْنُ عَوْنٍ: إِمَّا قَالَ:" مَصْبُوغٌ"، وَإِمَّا قَالَ:" مَسَّهُ وَرْسٌ وَزَعْفَرَانٌ"، قَالَ ابْنُ عَوْنٍ: وَفِي كِتَابِ نَافِعٍ:" مَسَّهُ".
