Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 4851
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyidina Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him and his father) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) ordered the killing of mice, crows, and wolves in Muharram. Someone asked Sayyidina Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him and his father) about snakes and scorpions, so he said that it is also said about them.

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے محرم کو چوہے، کوے اور بھیڑیئے، کو مار دینے کا حکم دیا ہے کسی نے سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے سانپ اور بچھو کے متعلق پوچھا: تو انہوں نے کہا کہ ان کے متعلق بھی کہا جاتا ہے۔
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne muharram ko chuhe, kowe aur bheriya ko mar dene ka hukm diya hai kisi ne Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se sanp aur bichhu ke mutalliq pucha to unhon ne kaha ki un ke mutalliq bhi kaha jata hai.
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ ، أَخْبَرَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ أَرْطَاةَ ، عَنْ وَبَرَةَ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ ، يَقُولُ:" أَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِقَتْلِ الذِّئْبِ لِلْمُحْرِمِ، يَعْنِي، وَالْفَأْرَةَ، وَالْغُرَابَ وَالْحِدَأَ، فَقِيلَ لَهُ: فَالْحَيَّةُ وَالْعَقْرَبُ؟ فَقَالَ: قَدْ كَانَ يُقَالُ ذَاكَ".
